MAITREYA, OR THE ANTICHRIST?
UPDATE--
Benjamin Creme has tried to predict the Maitraya's arrival again. He mis-fired
last time. Is this the one that will succeed? Has Creme and some clandestine
group arranged the supreme hoax? Or is this Antichrist?
Thus: _________________________ The Maitraya-- Can
be seen at Ten Thousand Happiness Pavillion in Beijing, China 12/31/97

British futurist says 'World Teacher' will be seen
on TV within five weeks.
LOS ANGELES, 25 November- At his
first American press conference in 15 years, British futurist Benjamin Creme stated
that Maitreya - World Teacher for the coming age-will be interviewed on a major
American network before the end of the year. This will be followed by appearances
on other networks around the world and, within months, will lead to a global satellite
hook-up where Maitreya can speak to all people simultaneously-in their own language.
Maitreya, according to Creme, is the great spiritual teacher expected by
people of all religions, although they know him by different names: Christ, Messiah,
Krishna, Imam Mahdi, Maitreya Buddha and others. In 1982 Creme challenged
the world's media to cover this story as it was then just beginning to unfold.
Although major media largely ignored Creme's challenge, citing lack of tangible
evidence, small groups of journalists pursued the story over the years, making
it possible for Maitreya to exert a growing influence in world affairs.
Creme says that now, fifteen years later, evidence of Maitreya's presence is
abundant and points to: Release by Maitreya of amazingly accurate forecasts
of world events, demonstrating his extraordinary insight and understanding of
the Law of Cause and Effect. Dramatic, unexpected and benevolent world changes,
such as the fall of communism in the Soviet Union, the end of apartheid in South
Africa, peace initiatives in the Middle East and Northern Ireland, and the growing
power of the 'people's voice'. Maitreya's 'out of the blue' appearances
to religious groups throughout the world, many of whom recognize him immediately
as their long-awaited teacher. A continuous wave of miraculous phenomena
including crosses of light, manifestations of Jesus and Mary in the clouds, weeping
statues of the Madonna, milk-drinking Hindu icons, wells of healing water in Mexico,
Germany and elsewhere, and other super-normal events. Hundreds of letters
sent to Share International magazine, of which Creme is Chief Editor, documenting
personal experiences of Maitreya. Maitreya's upcoming interview, says Creme,
will be an opportunity to present his priorities. His chief concern is the divisions
in the world that allow 35,000 people a day to die from starvation and one-fifth
of the world's population to live in absolute poverty. His next priority is to
restore ecological balance and sustainable use of the Earth's resources.
By creating awareness of what is actually taking place in the world, by awakening
human compassion, and by galvanizing us into action, Maitreya, says Creme, will
help us completely transform the world over the next 15-20 years. One example
of what we can expect, Creme predicts, is a new science-the Technology of Light-which
will provide all the power needed on Earth and make possible the regeneration
of human organs. Creme described the extraordinary heart-felt response
of people everywhere to Princess Diana as a prelude to the experience on Maitreya's
'Day of Declaration'. "Every individual will feel as if he has embraced them personally,"
says Creme. "A new livingness will begin from that moment." Note: The
exact timing of this interview will be arranged, at the appropriate moment, between
Maitreya and the program's producers. The identity of the network may not
be revealed ahead of time. We do not expect that Maitreya will be introduced
under that name, or as 'the Christ', 'the Messiah', etc. Feb. 7, 1998
Things didn't work out again for Creme and Maitraya. It seems
we are not ready yet to receive the revelation. Perhaps we have not given
Creme enough pension money to sustain him in the years after the limelight turns
from Creme to Maitraya. Or, maybe Creme simply calculated wrong. Prophets
these days are doing a lot of that. Creme, I am told, is peddling hard to
explain why the Maitraya couldn't keep his appointment. Stay tuned for the
next try. The rest of this page is the first in a Satanic "treasure
hunt." You will have to read one page in order to progress to the next.
This is the only time I have done this in the whole journal because you
MUST learn the first information to understand the last. The first bridge
from formal religion to the Maitreya has been built by the Charismatic movement.
I shall prove this. Hear me out. If you are in the Charismatic
movement, you will be forced to leave or choose Satan at the end of this discussion.
Don't say I didn't warn you. If you sense that this is highly
significant in the end of the Age of Grace, then you will read every word in the
whole progression I am giving you. I am very motivated to learn of other
appearances and any world or religious figures who have in any way spoken to or
approved of this Maitreya. WHO
IS MAITREYA?
He has been expected for generations by all of the major religions.
Christians know Him as the Christ, and expect His imminent return. Jews await
Him as the Messiah; Hindus look for the coming of Krishna; Buddhists expect Him
as Maitreya Buddha; and Muslims anticipate the Imam Mahdi or Messiah.
The names may be different, but many believe they all refer to the same individual:
the World Teacher, whose name is Maitreya (My-'tray-ah). Preferring
to be known simply as the Teacher, Maitreya has not come as a religious leader,
or to found a new religion, but as a teacher and guide for people of every religion
and those of no religion. At this time of great political, economic
and social crisis Maitreya will inspire humanity to see itself as one family,
and create a civilization based on sharing, economic and social justice, and global
cooperation. He will launch a call to action to save the millions of
people who starve to death every year in a world of plenty. Among Maitreya's recommendations
will be a shift in social priorities so that adequate food, housing, clothing,
education, and medical care become universal rights. Under Maitreya's
inspiration, humanity itself will make the required changes and create a saner
and more just world for all. A Gradual Emergence
In recent years, information about Maitreya's emergence has come primarily
from Benjamin Creme, a British artist and author who has been speaking and writing
about this event since 1974.
According to Creme, Maitreya descended in July 1977 from His ancient retreat
in the Himalayas and took up residence in the Indian-Pakistani community of London.
He has been living and working there, seemingly as an ordinary man, His true status
known to relatively few. He has been emerging gradually into full public view
so as not to infringe humanity's free will. As a modern man concerned
with today's problems, Maitreya has worked on many levels since 1977 to prepare
humanity for His outward presence. From behind the scenes, the outpouring
of His extraordinary energy has been the stimulus for dramatic changes on many
fronts, including the fall of communism in the Soviet Union, the collapse of apartheid
in South Africa, the rapprochement between East and West, the growing power of
the people's voice, and a worldwide focus on preserving the environment.
Outwardly, He has met with groups of journalists and influential leaders from
all fields, informing them of His solutions to today's most pressing problems
and of the role they might play in the coming time. Since 1988 Maitreya
has appeared miraculously throughout the world, mainly to orthodox religious groups,
presenting in the simplest terms the great spiritual laws governing our lives.
And, through steadily increasing signs and spiritual manifestations, now widely
reported in the media, He has touched the hearts of millions, preparing them for
His imminent appearance. Day of Declaration At
the earliest possible moment, Maitreya will demonstrate His true identity. On
the Day of Declaration, the international television networks will be linked together,
and Maitreya will be invited to speak to the world. We will see His
face on television, but each of us will hear His words telepathically in our own
language as Maitreya simultaneously impresses the minds of all humanity. Even
those who are not watching Him on television will have this experience.
At the same time, hundreds of thousands of spontaneous healings will take place
throughout the world. In this way we will know that this man is truly the World
Teacher for all humanity. What is a Master of the Wisdom?
The Masters of the Wisdom are a group of perfected individuals who
have lived behind the scenes in the mountains and deserts of the world for countless
millennia, guiding and overseeing humanity's evolution. They are now in
the process of emerging into the outward everyday world for the first time in
many thousands of years. At their head is Maitreya, the Master of all
the Masters, who is now living among us. A more precise definition:
Masters of Wisdom -- Individuals who have taken the 5th initiation,
having passed through all the experiences that life in this world offers and,
in the process, having acquired total mastery over themselves and the laws of
nature. Custodians of the Plan of Evolution and all the energies entering this
planet which bring about the fulfillment of the Plan. Initiation --
A voluntary process whereby successive and graded stages of unification and at-one-ment
take place between the man or woman in incarnation, his/her soul, and the divine
Monad or spark of God. Each stage confers on the initiate a deeper understanding
of the meaning and purpose of God's Plan, a fuller awareness of his/her part in
that Plan, and an increasing ability to work consciously and intelligently towards
its fulfillment. [ Balaam's Ass Speaks-- Born again believers know this "initiation"
is demon possession. ]
Maitreya as He appeared in Nairobi, Kenya, June 11, 1988
Job Mutungi's testimony: Did Jesus Christ come to Nairobi?
On 11 June 11 1988, a man suddenly appeared before a vast crowd in
Nairobi, Kenya, gathered to witness the miracle healings of Kenyan spiritual healer,
Mary Akatsa. Instantly recognizing the tall, white-robed figure as
"Jesus Christ", the crowds fell down overcome with emotion. The editor
of the Swahili edition of the Kenya Times, Job Mutungi, witnessed the event
and wrote the article which we reproduce here. Benjamin Creme's Master
has confirmed that it was Maitreya who addressed the crowds on that day, and who
later vanished. © Kenya Times. First published in the Kenya
Times, 22 June 1988. (Further details appeared in the Kenya Sunday Times on
26 June, where Maitreya is described as a "calm" and "tall, lean man ... wearing
a flowing robe which was spotlessly clean. He was also sporting a jet-black beard
and a black fly whisk.") About 6,000 worshippers at Muslim Village,
Kawangware, Nairobi, believe they saw Jesus Christ , in broad daylight last week.
It may be hard to believe, but nothing will move them, because "Jesus"
addressed them and assured them of a come-back, very soon. The scene
was at the Church of Bethlehem, where Mary Sinaida Akatsa conducts miracle prayers,
praying for the sick, the blind, cripples, mad people, the barren and others facing
all sorts of personal problems. On Saturday 4 June 1988 a big, bright star was
sighted above the skies by worshippers. It was unusually brighter than ordinary
stars. The time was 1 pm. But on Saturday 11 June it was different.
Worshippers were busy singing Mungu ni Mwema, a popular Swahili hymn, when Mary
Akatsa interjected. She announced that God had spoken to her and told her to "await
a miracle because a very important guest would be coming to give her a very vital
message." People 'braced themselves for the unknown' while others stared blankly
at her, their mouths agape with awe and bewilderment. Five minutes
later, she asked those who were singing and dancing to stop as the long-awaited
message had arrived. "Jesus! Jesus! Jesus of Nazareth!" went the loud whispers
from the crowd as they raised up their hands in submission and divine welcome.
The tall figure of a barefooted, white-robed and bearded man appeared from
nowhere and stood in the middle of the crowd. He was walking slowly towards the
new church building away from the tent. Mary walked with him, side by side.
She tried to explain that 20 cripples had managed to walk again a
few minutes ago because of the day's blessings. But nobody, except perhaps a few,
heard this. They were busy talking to "The Lord". I looked at my watch.
It was 4.15 pm. Her voice was drowned by cries and loud moans of "Jesus! Jesu.
Yeeesu! You have come. Welcome Jeesus! Wash our sins. Help us Jeesus!" For many,
it was the last prayer. It appeared to them the "Son of Man" had at last fulfilled
His promise of coming back to earth. They knelt down in emotional prayers in a
frantic effort to save their souls at the 11th hour. A man lying near to me urinated
in his trousers. But I stared back at the stranger in the meeting without blinking.
Strange, sporadic light wafted on top of his turbaned head, his feet and his entire
body. The scene and mood of the worshippers reminded one of the Old
Testament times of the Tower of Babel when languages became "confused" (Genesis
Chapter 11). Everyone was murmuring something. Others were flat on the ground
weeping uncontrollably in praise and worship, in total submission to the occasion.
Mama Akatsa appealed for calm. But it was difficult. The "Holy Spirit" had descended.
Yes, the vice and crime-infested slums of Kawangware had been transformed into
'a holy ground'. The man whispered something to Akatsa for about two minutes.
She later informed the crowd that the strange man would address them.
In clear Swahili, which had no traces of accent, the strange man announced
that the people of Kenya were blessed, especially those who had gathered at the
venue that afternoon. He said Mary had an important mission to unify people of
all races and tribes under the umbrella of God through Jesus. "I implore
you kindly to steadfastly hold on to your faith as the world will be no more.
We are nearing the time for the reign of heaven. But before that I shall come
back and bring a bucketful of blessings for all of you. Please respect Mary as
she is a true representative of 'The Most High' ", the man said and reminded the
crowd to live to the teachings of the Bible. As the strange man was
about to leave, two women left their seats and surged forward to where the man
and Mary stood. They advanced towards him on their knees, tears streaming down
their cheeks. "Shetani Rhihswaah!" the man told the two, and down to the ground
they went with a thud, as the ancient Hebrew curse word sent echoes everywhere.
The word was used 2,000 years ago to rebuke demons and evil spirits. It
took the crowd nearly 20 minutes to recover after the man left the meeting in
a car belonging to a Mr Gurnam Singh, who offered to give him a lift. But it will
probably take Mr Singh his lifetime to recover from the shock he got two minutes
later. On reaching the bus terminus for KBS Route No 56, the man informed Mr Singh
to stop the car as he wanted to alight and head for heaven. On getting out, he
did not ascend. He walked a few paces beside the road and simply vanished into
thin air. Several people who witnessed this were astonished by his mysterious
disappearance. A few minutes later, a worried Mr Singh came back panting
like a cross-channel swimmer accompanied by a group of people from the bus stage,
and narrated the strange development. Mary assured the meeting that "Jesus"had
gone to heaven. What baffled many was that Mary, while addressing
the crowd in the presence of the strange man, had said the light drizzle being
experienced then was to signify the presence of "Jesus". She had also announced
that there would be a heavy downpour later to signify that "Jesus" was back in
his "Heavenly Throne". And, as sure as hell, the rains came. There were floods
all over town that evening that caught people unawares. Later, many were reluctant
to leave the religious venue and had to be convinced to do so. Back
at Uhuru Park, Rev Bonnke was promising thousands of worshippers and millions
of listeners during a live TV and radio transmission that God had, on Thursday,
informed him that they would experience the presence of Jesus and great miracles
on Saturday. Jesus did indeed come to Nairobi but in a different venue.
There is always a 'resident' photographer at Mary Akatsa's meetings. He takes
snapshots of various episodes and later sells them to worshippers at Shs 10 each.
In the past, when bright stars appeared in broad daylight above Kawangware, there
were only clouds and the blue sky in the photos he had taken. But this
time, the photographer, known as Francis Kaburu, managed to take about six snapshots
of the strange man, successfully. It is alleged that this may have been a hoax,
after all. Already, reports have it that the person cited was a "Jinn" or a mysterious
spirit, hence his mysterious disappearance. But Mary Akatsa discounts
this contention: "This was Our Lord. He promised in the Bible to come back in
different forms ... In any event he was born of a woman and lived on earth", she
said later. And the thousands who witnessed the episode concur with her entirely.
Mr Tofias Onyango, a Nairobi lawyer, is currently busy writing a book on
Mary Akatsa's miracles. He was within the church compound when "Jesus" came but
inside a room 100 yards away from where the action was, preparing his manuscript.
"So far, the only thing I have been able to witness is a bright star during daylight",
he says, and laments that he missed the "big miracle". (Benjamin Creme
comments: Maitreya's appearance was in keeping with the crowd's expectations,
as Jesus Christ, hence his bearded face and biblical robes. The "bucketful of
blessings" with which Maitreya promises to return is an allusion to Himself as
the "Water Carrier", the symbol of the Aquarian Age (see Messages from Maitreya
No. 42). The correct translation of the Swahili word used by Maitreya is 'pitcher',
not 'bucket'. The "strange sporadic light" emanating from Maitreya's head and
feet described by Job Mutungi are also habitually seen by those around Maitreya
now. The Hebrew words recorded by Mr Mutungi were not in fact the ones
Maitreya uttered. Far from being a curse, the words used by Maitreya were a blessing.)

Editor: Balaam's Ass Speaks-- The following
is long, but it is essential for you to see the association of the Nairobi
or Kenya context for Maitrey's first official appearance in a religious setting.
You will see key features of this prophetess fit very well with the occult
character of the New World Order and the Maitreya as defined by Benjamine
Creme. Journey to Nairobi -- Five days with
Mary Akatsa by Memo Neupert In the September
1988 issue of Share International we printed a report on Maitreya's appearance,
out of the blue, at one of Mary Akatsa's healing meetings in Nairobi, Kenya. Memo
Neupert, Share International co-worker in Hamburg, Germany, recently visited Mary
Akatsa in her home village, and reports below. In the years since Maitreya's
appearance in Nairobi, Kenya -- on 11 June 1988 -- at one of Mary Akatsa's healing
meetings, I had been keen to visit the place where Maitreya appeared, and to meet
the healer, Mary Akatsa, herself. Mary is the woman dressed in blue who stands
next to Maitreya in the famous photograph, first published in the Kenya Times
on 22 June that year. In January 1994 I flew to Nairobi with photographer
Uwe Piotrowski, a member of the Hamburg Transmission Meditation Group, on the
last leg of a round-trip taking in Tlacote, Mexico, in November, and Nadana, India,
in December, 1993, where we visited the well-known healing springs. In Nairobi
everyone knew Mami (Mother Mary) and referred us to the "Jerusalem Church of Christ"
in Kawangware. Once there, we had the privilege of attending one of Mary's regular
healing sessions. There was much drum-beating and dancing, and during
the four-hour ceremony Mary came to greet us. We witnessed the healing of a woman
who was very ill with a cancerous tumour clearly visible on the bare upper part
of her body. She had to walk through the church area, then Mary placed her right
hand on her head, spat on the diseased part and the woman was healed. Later a
man was brought in who had been mentally deranged for 16 years; Mary healed him
and he was able to walk away after 15 minutes. We had hoped to arrange
an interview, but unfortunately there was no time because Mary had to go up-country
to the funeral of a church member in another location, but when she discovered
that she would not be back inNairobi before the time of our return flight, she
invited us to accompany her: "Would you like to travel with Mami?" she asked,
and we immediately accepted. Thereupon she placed an interpreter/guide at our
disposal and moved us out of our hotel to her own modest house, situated in a
remote area outside the town. There Mary lives simply -- the congregation brings
water, and the generator is switched on only at night -- and looks after some
20 sick or homeless people, providing them with food and clothing and supporting
them financially. Mary Sinaida Akatsa is a simple, uncomplicated and
spontaneous woman. She is delicately built, some 4 feet 6 inches tall, with beautiful
shining eyes and a childlike, open smile, which is full of love. Charming and
cheerful, she is always anxious that people should enjoy being with her. She says
that Christ has sent her, because she is the best channel for Him to use.
Mary had hired two buses to take the 160 church members and the surviving
family to the funeral in Kwiselo. Apart from financing the funeral she will pay
board and lodging and school fees for the dependants of the deceased. While we
waited with Mary for the owner of the buses to arrive, a drunken man came to the
car and asked Mary to pray with him. She lovingly declined, saying that because
he was drunk the prayer would not reach God. The request was repeated and again
Mary declined. Suddenly, the man fell to his knees. Mary placed her right hand
on his head and prayed with him; he became sober and went away relieved.
The journey proceeded to Kwiselo with two full buses and the coffin on one
of the roof-racks. Throughout the journey, Mary was protected by four bodyguards,
because as soon as people recognize her they rush towards her. On the way there
was powerful singing, and during a stop at a petrol station everyone danced --
even I, the stiff Westerner. The songs were rhythmic and melodious, the rhythm
entered my limbs, so that I just had to sing, clap and dance -- to Mary's great
joy. I learned how important it is to experience the joy of spirituality in the
body itself. Mary showed me physical movements and steps which at first seemed
easy, but feet and hands are difficult to co- ordinate and eventually move out
of rhythm. Mary looked after us lovingly during the trip, distributing
food and drink as needed. We drove through the most beautiful parts of Kenya --
tea plantations, orchards and forests; there were many zebra on the plains and
pink clouds of flamingo by Lake Victoria -- until, by evening, we arrived at the
house of one of Mary's sisters where we were to spend the night. Mary told us
that she had been able to cure her sister's husband who had been all but killed
by the ministrations of a voodoo sorcerer. On the Sunday, all church
members were dressed in white with blue stripes on collar and belt and on the
men's caps. These are the colours of Mary's church, and whenever she sees a man
in Nairobi so dressed she approaches him and greets him warmly. We
reached Kwiselo to find the funeral already in full swing. Suddenly I noticed
that Mary had become very withdrawn. When this happens, something special takes
place. All at once, the sky clouded over, and the congregation was thus protected
from the parching sun. The clouds remained until the celebration was at an end
and the temperature more bearable. Again there was singing and dancing, and Mary
gave a sermon. Afterwards she fetched several men and women out of the audience
to give them messages. She told a good-looking African woman to stop being a prostitute,
since she could contract AIDS. "I know you like being a prostitute," Mary said,
"but take my words seriously." The woman, however, appeared unmoved. After
the messages, church members formed a double row headed by a woman with the church
banner and mencarrying the coffin. Then came the dependants. The coffin was swung,
people sang, danced and clapped on the way to the grave, into which the coffin
was lowered without the use of ropes, and covered with brushwood. The congregation
sang while the grave was filled in with earth. Mary presented the relatives with
a bag of corn, flour and other provisions which they would need to keep the wake
going for the customary four weeks. We drove back to our overnight quarters quite
exhausted, and the next morning started out for Mary's birthplace and other places
where some of the incidents in her extraordinary life had occurred. Mary calls
herself a priestess of Jesus right from birth, but has never had any ecclesiastical
training. People come to her because they have heard about her great healing powers.
In 1983 she established the Jerusalem Church of Christ, and says that Jesus is
the founder. When her mother was seven months pregnant with Mary she
was poisoned by the father's second wife, and given up for dead. She had been
lying on the bier for several hours when someone noticed movement in her abdomen,
cut it open and took out the premature baby. Although the baby, in spite of the
poison, was healthy, the father threw it away into a thicket. There she was found
four days later by her grandmother, who had had a vision in which she saw the
child lying in the bushes and came to look for it. The baby was found still alive
but bitten by ants and other insects: even to this day Mary has no sense of taste
as a result of insect damage to her tongue. The grandmother nursed
Mary gradually back to health in the face of great poverty and the death of her
18 other children. She would go without the oatmeal soup which was almost all
they had to eat, if there was not enough for both of them. She often went to bed
hungry in order to feed the child. Mary's healing and clairvoyant powers developed
between the ages of five and eight. By eight years old she was fully able to heal.
She could read people's minds, which was a mixed blessing as she could spot dishonesty;
and could tell if a woman was pregnant, and the sex of the unborn child. She married
at 13 and still lives with her husband. At the time of her marriage her parents-in-law
did not want a woman with supernatural powers in their family, so they chained
and beat her -- she still bears the scars, which she showed us -- and drove her
away with blows some 15 kilometres from their village, hoping she would never
return. When they learned that she had returned to fetch her husband, they destroyed
the couple's house. For some time Mary and her husband worked for farmers,
their sole payment oatmeal soup, and slept in front of the barn. Later, Mary was
employed as a housemaid, earning 400 Kenyan shillings a month. "I saved and bought
land little by little," she told us. "We cultivated the land, sold the harvest
and bought more land." Now she owns 200 acres, cultivated with corn, beans, vegetables,
oranges, bananas and lemons. She pays her farmhands well because they are good
workers. Harvests are increasing year by year, and she uses the proceeds for the
poor, because "Kenya is poor and many need my help." For some years
Mary Akatsa worked as a priestess in different churches, but being clairvoyant
she could recognize the dishonesty of the bishops, and told them so. Thus, she
was dismissed, and even today the churches choose not to work with her; so she
has formed her own church. As we neared the end of our guided tour
of Mary's life, it was already dark, and she pointed to a star which had constantly
accompanied us, a star which then stood over her house. I could feel the strong
love energy radiated by the star, and asked to know its name. Mary smiled, and
said nothing. Next morning, our last day, Mary was ready for the interview, which
she asked us to keep as short as possible. The interview which follows took place
on 31 January 1994.
Memo Neupert: What happened on 11 June 1988? [ This interview
was part of the 1994 visit by the journalist above. ] Mary Akatsa:
We were continuing with our healing session when suddenly there was a strong
wind. We did not know what had happened. And then, out of the blue, someone stood
beside me who touched my heart and spoke to me. MN: What did
he say to you? MA: "You are an important messenger of God. I
bring you this message: Keep on preaching, never retreat." MN: How
did the people react as they saw the Christ standing in front of you?
MA: Well, when He appeared people had no idea what had happened. Many
of them fell down. After He had appeared, people started crying and repenting
of their sins. Since that day, people have come to Kawangware in big numbers,
repenting their sins, getting healed and being saved. So it continues until now.
But it is not me who heals, it is the power of God that heals through me.
MN: During the session we saw people running up and down along a
certain pathway. We have heard that the Christ impresses people to do this.
MA: Jesus said: "I have put My cloth here at the end of this path,
and whoever comes to this place -- perhaps with sickness or demons or other problems
-- should run along that path. Then, when he comes back and looks at you, Mami,
all his problems, all sins, all the difficulties which worried him, will go and
he will be healed and will be fit henceforth." MN: How did He
disappear? MA: We actually did not know exactly what happened.
After holding my hand for a while He just disappeared, within a minute.
MN: Has He appeared to you again in physical form, since that day?
MA: Since that day God speaks to me through my ears just in the
same way as you can hear somebody speaking to you. It is very loud. On my eyes
appears a sort of screen, and I am told: Look at a certain side (in a certain
direction) -- there is someone, maybe, in the congregation -- look at him. The
message is written on his chest. Then I can read all the problems he might have,
where the problems come from, and I ask for him to get saved and he gets healed.
I get the message directly from God. MN: Does the Christ give
you teachings as well as healing through you? MA: Yes.
MN: What did He mean about the future when He said: "the world would
be no more" (as mentioned in the Kenya Times article)? MA: He
never said that. MN: Did He say when He would return again with
the bucket of blessings? MA: No. MN: What
were the Hebrew words the Christ uttered as a blessing to the crowds (in Job Mutungi's
article wrongly described as a curse)? MA: It was not a curse
but a message only meant for Mami. MN: Is the cloth the Christ
left on the path still in existence? MA: It is still there.
MN: Is the star over Mami's place the one that appeared before the
Christ's coming and has it been there ever since? MA: Yes.
MN: Do you go into trance when you are healing? Do you feel the
Christ's energies flowing through you? Are you aware of what is going on when
you are healing or does the Christ take over your body? MA: Mami
changes when the power goes through. She's absolutely in trance. She doesn't recognize
individuals. A screen covers her eyes and messages appear on people's chests.
MN: Are there people you cannot heal, and if so what do you do for
them? MA: Yes. I leave it to God to do what He wishes.
MN: Is there a significance in the blue colour of the garment you wear?
MA: Jesus gave me the colour blue and white. This cloth plays a
significant role in our identification as the Children of God with one faith.
Even when Moses was taken over into the Pharaoh's palace to be brought up as an
Egyptian, he only believed his true identity because of the cloth his mother had
hidden in the basket. So we always identify our togetherness through this cloth.
MN: Has crime decreased here since your work began? MA:
Yes. So many criminals are now my devoted children. MN: What
role does your husband play in your work? MA: My husband helps
me with implementation of church projects. MN: Do foreigners
and white people come to your healings? MA: Yes. So many foreigners
come from Asia, Europe, America and other parts of Africa. MN: Have
you met the President [ Daniel Arap Moi ]? MA: Yes. He is one
of my sons. MN: Mary, I thank you very much for this interview.
MA: I thank you very much for coming here, and we thank God for
giving us this opportunity. Editor, Blessed Quietness
Journal-- Do you recall in the top account of Maitreya's appearance in Nairobi
that an evangelist name Bonnke prophecied the appearance of Maitreya? I
shall next show you who he is and you can then be certain of who the false prophet
is in this event. Is this Maitreya the Antichrist, or is this a "dress rehersal?"
I for one do not feel free to cast this aside at this time as just another
false start. This may well be THE revealing of Antichrist as predicted in
II Thessalonians 2-- revealing to the Church that is. The final revealing
will be to the world AFTER the Church is gone to the Marriage Feast of the Lamb.
"Strong delusion" so that they, the world elite, "will believe a lie" may
be necessary for the United Nations, world governments, TBN, Pat Robertson, and
the Pope to go for this fellow.
REINHARD
BONNKE
False Prophet for Lord Maitreya?
Reinhart Bonnke
was the evangelist in Uhuru park in Nairobi who prophesied on a Thursday,
two days before Maitreya's appearance in a Muslim Village, Kawangware, Nairobi,
"...that God had, on Thursday, informed [ Reinhart Bonnke ] that they [ Nairobi
Muslim citizens ] would experience the presence of Jesus and great miracles on
Saturday..." This is how it was reported in the Kenya Times, and reporter
Job Mutungi in Nairobi, Kenya.
See
the complete story from Nairobi on the previous page Thus,
Bonnke was the on-site prophet of the Maitreya. You may say, "NO, but Benjamin
Creme was the prophet." I do not agree. A prophet makes accurate
and precise predictions. Creme has been prophesying Maitreya's appearance
in the most general terms for years. He NEVER gives dates and places. Creme
also gave a year of Maitreya's appearance some years back, and Maitreya didn't
co-operate. Creme almost lost his whole following. However; Reinhart
Bonnke made this on-the-scene prophecy, and it was dated, AND it came true. Thus,
the honor of False Prophet MUST go to Reinhart Bonnke. We would do him a
gross injustice to give this honor to any other alleged prophet. Nigeria
In an open-air ceremony in Benin City, Nigeria, Reinhard Bonnke claims to
perform 78 miracles. Combining his Christian message with Africa's traditional
religions, he invokes the fear of witchcraft and evil spells while proclaiming
the healing power of Jesus Christ. The frenzied crowd eventually goes out of control,
and 15 people are crushed to death that evening as they try to leave the field.
Now, here is the history of Reinhart Bonnke. You MUST
read this because, from this tale, you will learn precisely where you stand as
a member of the Charismatic Movement, Holy Laughter, Third Wave, Toronto Blessing,
or any other such group. This is a very long page. I am
going to show you that Reinhart Bonnke is the godfather of the Holy Laughter movement.
To do this, I will give you the whole story so that you have no need to
just take my word for it. Please read all of it.
A History of the Worldwide Awakening

Eleventh
Edition: October 15, 1995 INTRODUCTION
During the early 1990s, a revival, or reawakening of Christian
faith, became evident in many parts of the world. Receiving its initial impetus
from the ministries of many people, including Claudio Freidzon of Buenos Aries,
Argentina, Rodney M. Howard- Browne, a South African evangelist ministering in
the United States, Mahesh Chavda of Charlotte, North Carolina and Cindy Jacobs
of Colorado Springs, Colorado, this outpouring of God's Spirit touched a large
number of people in many places. An unusual visitation among the Vineyard Churches
which originated in Mississauga, Ontario, outside of Toronto, on January 20, 1994
also brought this new anointing to many people in mainline denominational and
non-denominational churches throughout the world. At all of the meetings
associated with this fresh outpouring, there have been many emotional and physical
healings. Many people have encountered God anew or afresh, and have been brought
to a place of repentance and brokenness. People have often fallen down under the
anointing of the Holy Spirit, become "drunk" in the Spirit, and become filled
with the joy of the Lord, laughing almost uncontrollably, or weeping or shaking.
Large numbers of children have been affected, many of whom have reported seeing
visions of heavenly things. Phenomena of this kind characterized a revival that
began in 1992 in Buenos Aires, Argentina under Claudio Freidzon. According to
a publication of the Assemblies of God, MOUNTAIN MOVERS (October 1993, p. 6),
at Freidzon's meetings, "as people entered into adoration and worship, some became
'drunk' on the Spirit and could not stand up. Others laughed in the Spirit or
fell under the power of God. Each service lasted six or seven hours. Outside,
hundreds waited in lines that stretched around the block to get into the church."
Some of the components of the revival were evident for several years in
many places. A. L. Gill, a prominent missionary from California, saw the "holy
laughter" in his meetings throughout the world beginning in 1983, culminating
with the summer of 1993, when he led a praise and worship seminar at Doug Girard's
Vision Christian Center on Chestnut Street in Lawrenceville, Georgia, near Atlanta.
This seminar exploded into healing after a woman was dramatically healed of cancer
of the tongue. The meetings were extended over a period of many days, and became
known as the Chestnut Street Revival. Tony and Marj Abram, missionaries
from Arkansas, also saw drunkenness in the Spirit and the "holy laughter" in many
places for several years. They first observed it in 1986 at an Assemblies of God
church pastored by John Lipton, currently of Dover, in England. A church
in Riverside, New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia, East Coast For Jesus Ministries,
pastored by Louis Halcomb, was at the center of a worldwide sovereign move of
the Spirit beginning in the late 1980s. Particularly after Operation Desert Storm
in early 1991, Halcomb began seeing God move in unusual ways wherever he ministered.
Local newspapers in Paris, France, Geneva, Switzerland, the Philippines, reported
on the revivals in these places in the wake of his ministry. Halcomb saw many
people slain in the Spirit, laughing in the Spirit, drunken in the Spirit, and
experiencing deliverances. In one case, when Aleen Backsly was at Halcomb's
church, people were slain in the Spirit everywhere. She would hug people in the
foyer, and they would fall down. At the same time, outside, people who were getting
out of their cars were falling down under the power of the Spirit as their feet
hit the pavement, and it caused problems for those who were trying to park cars
in the church parking lot. East Coast For Jesus Ministries became influential
to a number of other churches, including Calvary Worship Center in Port St. Lucy,
Florida, pastored by Thomas E. Smith and Bob Roach. Calvary Worship Center experienced
a sovereign move of the Holy Spirit beginning in the late 1980s which reached
new heights during its building dedication in July of 1994, which was preceded
by a week of prayer and fasting. In this case, the revival wasn't the result of
any special visitors, but there was a spontaneous outbreak of revival and its
associated phenomena, including holy laughter, drunkenness in the Spirit, and
other manifestations. As a result of this new outbreak of revival, they began
twelve services a week. Their new building seated 550 people, but they found it
necessary to have two services on Sunday mornings in order to accommodate everyone.
According to Bob Roach, prior to the awakening associated with Rodney Howard-Browne's
ministry and that of the Toronto Airport Vineyard, when LaVerne and Edith Tripp
visited Calvary Worship Center, LaVerne was slain in the Spirit as soon as he
arrived, and had to be carried into the sanctuary to preach. At the time he said,
"your church is the best kept secret in America." Bob Roach said that
"there has been a move across the United States in smaller churches that nobody
really knows anything about that has preceded the more visible signs of awakenings.
In one case, Stan Johnson, formerly a professional ball player with the New York
Yankees, visited and taught on the anointing for a 6 or 7 hour service. People
came in stretchers and were raised up, and this was recorded on video. Many prophets
come in and out of that church, including Ed Corley, whose ministry is very similar
to that of Derek Prince, and Mike Connors, who was at one time A. A. Allen's associate,
and who is also a friend of Wade Taylor's at Pinecrest. We want to make sure that
it's God working in our midst, and we're seeing so many lives change and marriages
put back together, and pastors going back to their churches restored and refreshed.
In 1991 or 1992, Dr. Ron Shaw brought in Reinhart Bonnke (Shaw's brother-in-law),
and there was a tremendous impartation given
to the pastors who were there, including Rodney Howard-Browne,
who was visiting from Karl Strader's Church (the first time he was
there). Rodney did the offering at that time, and was one of many, many pastors
and leaders who received a real impartation from Bonnke."
Balaam's Ass Speaks:
Editor-- By the definition of the Charismatic Theology, this "impartation"
was the power of the Holy Ghost to serve or pass on the power to others. You
will realize then two things: ONE: Reinhart Bonnke was the one
who gave to Rodney Howard Browne the power which was the basis of the Holy Laughter
Movement. TWO: If you have been in one of Browne's sessions of
spiritual drunkenness and debauchery, you will have come to the conclusion that
Rodney Howard Browne's power is the power of Satan and devils. That
Satanic power came directly from Reinhart Bonnke. I must risk boring
you now with the history of Reinhart Bonnke as a missionary and his work in Africa
up to recent times. This will show you why he was Satan's choice as False
Prophet in Nairobi, Kenya in 1988, in a Muslim village where Maitreya appeared.
Life
History and Work of Reinhart Bonnke The following history
of Reinhart Bonnke is compiled from Dictionary of Pentecostal
and Charismatic Movements, Zondervan, circa 1990. BONNKE, REINHARD
WILLI GOTTFRIED (1940- ). International evangelist. Reinhard Willi Gottfiied Bonnke
was born in Koenigsberg, Germany, on April 19, 1940, the son of a Pentecostal
pastor belonging to the Federation of Free Pentecostal Churches (Bund Freier Pfingstneinden
EBFP]). Educated in Wales, he met George Jeffreys (1889-1962) as a youth. From
his earliest days he felt called to be a missionary to Africa. His marriage to
Anna Sulzle in 1964 produced three children: Kai-uwe (1966), Gabriele (1967),
and Susanne (1969). After several years as a pastor and evangelist in Germany,
he arrived in Africa in May 1967. From 1967 to 1974, Bonnke labored
with meager results as a traditional missionary for the BFP in Lesotho, Africa.
In the latter year he received a call to minister "to the whole of Africa" with
the assurance that "Africa shall be saved." His first mass healing crusade took
place in Gaberones, Botswana, in April 1975, which began with only 100 persons
in attendance and ended in a packed stadium with over 10,000 present.
In 1977 he purchased a 10,000-seat tent, which often was inadequate when as
many as 40,000 attempted to enter. A blond-haired, blue-eyed German, Bonnke was
at a loss to explain his popularity among the blacks with whom he Identified.
Everywhere he ministered, even in South Africa, Bonnke refused to practice racial
segregation in his services. A major attraction in Bonnke's meetings
were the signs and wonders that accompanied his preaching, with thousands testifying
to miracles of physical healing and exorcisms in his crusades. Also featured in
many meetings were bonfires that were set as converts burned their magic amulets
and charms associated with witchcraft. Everywhere Bonnke encouraged his converts
to receive the baptism in the HoTy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
Also, at times, thousands would be "slain in the Spirit" as he preached.
During the early 1980s Bonnke's crusades attracted some of the largest crowds
in the history of mass evangelism. One crusade in Nigeria in 1986 attracted as
many as 250,000 to one service. His crusades in Soweto attracted thousands of
blacks and whites despite the official government policy of apartheid.
In 1983 Bonnke purchased the largest gospel tent ever built, one that would
hold some 34,000 persons. Although it was torn apart in a severe storm in Capetown
in 1984, it was rebuilt and put back into use by 1986. In the latter year, Bonnke's
team reported 1,500,000 responses to the call for salvation, many
thousands of whom were Muslims. By the mid-1980s Bonnke
also began conducting leadership conferences in Africa and Europe. His "Fire Conference"
in Zimbabwe in 1986 drew thousands of African pastors and evangelists, while his
"Eurofire" conferences in FrankfUrt in 1987 and Birmingham in 1988 brought his
ministry to the attention of Europeans. His ministry in the U.S. increased after
speaking in the New Orleans Superdome in 1987 to the Congress on the Holy Spirit
and World Evangelization. In 1987 Bonnke moved his family from Johannesburg,
where he had lived for many years, to Frankfurt, West Germany, where he set up
headquarters for his organization which, since Its legal beginning in 1972, has
been known as Christ for All Nations (CFAN). Bibliography: R. Steele,

Are
the Miracles Claims of Reinhard Bonnke Really True? By David McAllister
May 2001 The
Belfast Berean News Reinhard Bonnke makes many incredible
miracle claims but are these miracle claims really true? So called miracle claims
are two a penny today, in fact many of the various cults, witch doctors, psychic
surgeons, and New Age healers also make the same kind of miracle claims as Reinhard
Bonnke. Even an advert in a newspaper promoting a “miracle pen” had with it a
number of 'documented' healings. Anyhow back to Reinhard Bonnke as
he is different, he claims Biblical style miracles at his crusades, saying: "When
I step on a platform, often without any touch of mine the blind begin to see,
the deaf to hear, the dumb to speak and the cripples to walk…" and "Miracles happened
as if copied from the gospels and the book of Acts". The crusade chairman in Onitsha,
Nigeria boosts "We know that when Reinhard Bonnke comes to preach, we will see
the.... healing power of God in action". At Bonnke's crusades he reports "Each
[person at the crusade] was expecting the miracle that would transform their lives;
they looked desperate enough to pursue it - to grab it by force if necessary....
the healing power of God flowed each day as countless numbers reported evidence
of the miraculous". However when pressed for proof of this 'healing
power of God' and the 'biblical style miracles', there is DEAD SILENCE and no
help from his ministry, in fact they refuse to listen to those who question these
claims. Local footballer Stephen Baxter a prominent member of the
apostate Bangor Elim Pentecostal Church will be leading 200 young people to Bonnke’s
Crusade. Baxter like many Pentecostals uses the straw man argument of “You’ve
got to be careful… because you should never underestimate the power of Christ.
Yes, you should always look into things… but when asking God for a miracle you
should never be quick to say this can’t happen.” Christians like myself
do not doubt or underestimate the power of God to heal. We believe that God can
and does heal according to His will. Christians should seek God in prayer for
healing of those who are sick. However the Bible teaches that if one is sick he,
is to call the elders of the local church to come and let them [the elders] pray
for him, not run of to a Bonnke crusade. [James 5:13-15] Of Bonnke`s
claim that a dead unborn child was resurrected in the womb at one of the crusades,
Baxter replied: " I've heard these stories, I believe it is possible. If Christ
wants to do it, if Christ can form this universe, who are we to question Him.”
We Christians are not questioning the healing power of the Lord Jesus
Christ, but rather the miracle claims of Bonnke and there is a difference. Do
Bonnke’s miracles line up with the biblical record? Do they match up with the
gospels and the book of Acts? The Lord Jesus Christ never made the
incredible miracle claims that Bonnke makes. Jesus Christ shunned acclaim and
let his miracles speak for themselves; proving that He was who he said he was
the Messiah, the Almighty God, the Saviour of the World and that His message was
from God. When Jesus Christ healed it had a purpose, healing was instant and the
healings were abundant even without requiring the physical presence of Jesus.
Jesus Christ was able to heal at anyplace, anytime, anywhere, whether their was
faith or not, and his healings were undeniable even to his critics, and never
was there any appeal for money. Jesus Christ could heal all manner
of sickness and diseases using different methods with the results irreversible,
never turning anyone away at his unarranged meetings. To sum up Jesus Christ healings,
Richard Mayhue in his book ‘The Healing Promise’ writes that the miracles of Jesus
Christ were “undeniable, successful, spectacular, without any recovery period,
permanent, overwhelming, abundant, awesome, instant, [and] authoritative, without
limitations, total, and convincing all without any major medical attention that
could possibly have taken credit for healing in any way. “ Bonnke
is the opposite of Jesus Christ a showman and storyteller often boasting of HIS
power, promoting himself and marketing his ‘miracles’ to collect money. Bonnke
mesmerises and charms his audience before working them into frenzy at his crusades,
with them shaking their heads uncontrollably, while speaking non-stop in other
tongues. . Bonnke’s healings only take place at certain times under
certain conditions at prearranged meetings, with the healings coming for no real
apparent reason or purpose. The healings he claims are spurious, and deniable,
and his critics have proven without a doubt that he is a fraud, a trickster even
claiming healings that are not healings at all. To sum up Bonnke’s miracles we
would say they are “spurious, bogus, deniable, unspectacular, sparse, unconvincing,
limited, pathetic and laughable”. In the April Telegraph Revival Report
CFAN claim that "Locals brought sacks full of witchcraft items to the crusade
grounds for burning each night" and John Darku commented, "This is the greatest
number of witchcraft items we have ever seen. People surrendered their idols by
the sack full.... we started burning the witchcraft items from the second night
of the conference, when Reinhard preached on the Blood of Jesus and took authority
over the powers of the enemy. The strongholds in the city were demolished and
the people released…. Looking at the crowds, it was if fire from heaven had fallen
on top of each head and burning hot coals had suddenly been rolled onto the tip
of each tongue. The fire seemed intense - almost excruciating - judging by the
painful expressions on many faces. The fire caused many people to shake their
heads uncontrollably, while speaking non-stop in other tongues". These
kinds of manifestations cannot be found in the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ
or the Apostles and are more at home in the world of the occult. Why
then do so many people follow after the likes of Bonnke? Why such crowds? (CfaN)
say "Miracles? Well, signs and wonders " Anthony Thomas, who wrote and directed
the recent TV documentary `Miracles`, believes Bonnke is popular in Africa because
he taps into the continents old religious and superstitions. "Bonnke is the `voodoo
priest`, casting spells on his enemies and summoning up good and evil spirits
as he dances to the beat of the drum," said Thomas'. However again another instance
in which Bonnke is out of tune with the Bible as Jesus Christ commanded his servants
not to curse their enemies but to "love their enemies, bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you". Stephen Baxter feels that the Anthony documentary,
which focused on Bonnke’s healing claims was possibly one sided and that the media
reports have put to much emphasis on the healing side of Bonnke’s work, saying
that the evangelist’s main purpose was to preach salvation. Baxter
is wrong; miracle claims are at the very heart of Bonnke’s ministry, as the (CfaN)
Telegram monthly Revival Report proves. Bonnke does claim to preach the "full
gospel", however there is no "full gospel" or "half gospel" only the true gospel
which Paul preached..."I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you....
wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved.... how that Christ died for our
sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again
the third day according to the scriptures" [1 Cor 15:1-4]. The 'full
gospel' that Bonnke preaches is a gospel full of errors, the false Word/Faith
gospel mixed in with Toronto Blessing style antics. Bonnke has been around the
Word-Faith revival movement since its inception. Bonnke’s gospel message is devoid
of any real preaching on the cross or on "sin, righteousness and judgement to
come", but filled with fables and false miracle claims, that are hard to believe
and which he most surely has made up? Even what little truth he may present is
lost in a sea of error. "Raise your hands and wave to me if you want to receive
Jesus Christ," proclaims Bonnke at his crusades totally unaware that Jesus Christ
or the Apostle made no such appeals. One wonders what Jesus these people are coming
to, as those at the crusades hang on Bonnke's every word mesmerised and charmed
by the figure on the platform? The truth is this, Bonnke has "another
gospel" which is not another and he comes under the curse of Paul in Gal 1:6-10.
Jesus Christ warned his believers to TAKE HEED and BEWARE because
in the latter times many false prophets, WOLFS IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING doing 'signs
and wonders' in His name, would arise and deceive MANY. Paul wrote
in his epistles "Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist
the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall
proceed no further for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also
was." Who were Jannes and Jambres? Two atheists? No magicians in Pharaohs court
who could up to a point duplicate the miracles of God with their tricks. The clear
answer is that what we see with Bonnke is the same thing only he does it in the
name of Jesus. The sad truth is that the church has long wearied of
sound biblical teaching as the Apostle Paul foretold, turning their ears away
from the truth and heaping to themselves teachers like Bonnke who will tell what
they want to hear, rather that what they need to hear. The only solution is for
the church to reject and root out these false teachers like Bonnke whose folly
has been manifested, and return the flock back to the truth of God’s word and
the true gospel of Christ and Him crucified. May God Help us!

SANDY
SIMPSON ON BONNKE Added April 2001 Reinhard
Bonnke Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind by Sandy Simpson, 4/26/01
Reinhard Bonnke, a German evangelist who does a lot of his preaching
in the Two Thirds world, was recently investigated by HBO on their show "A Question
Of Miracles" aired 4/15/01.1 The HBO special from a secular media viewpoint was
flawed. It tried to tie brain chemistry that effects the way humans react to hyper
suggestion in faith healing meetings thinking they are healed when they are just
hopped up on chemistry (which is true) to human evolutionary development (which
is false). This type of flaw made it possible for Benny Hinn and Reinhard
Bonnke to excuse themselves and poke holes in the HBO special on the basis that
they were investigated by unbelievers. The problem is that the truth of the shows
far outweighed the false assumptions. It showed many people who Hinn and Bonnke
claimed were healed who were not. It showed a number of unethical practices in
both camps. It also brought the topic of discussion up again: "Why can't the Church
police itself against these false healers?" There is still no answer to that question
because a large part of what calls itself the "Church" today is actually apostate
and incapable of discernment or standing up for the truth. Bonnke
has been able to sort of hide out from the Western media till now and even discernment
ministry attention has been diverted due to two factors. First, he is out of the
Western countries a lot on the road in the Two Thirds world. Secondly, he preaches
enough of the gospel to have most of the church leave him alone. I personally
don't believe he is really preaching the gospel, and if he is he certainly is
snatching those seeds away with his "healing" show and false doctrines that follow.
Bonnke
Background
Reinhard Willi Gottfried Bonnke was born on April
19, 1940 in Koenigsberg, East Germany. WWII was already underway. As a youth Bonnke
knew the horrors of war, hunger, fear, and the cold of refugee camps. At nine
years old he finally found his dad and a home." 2 The HBO special
made a connection between Benny Hinn and Reinhard Bonnke in that they had both
been refugees, though Bonnke clearly had the worst of it. HBO had a scientific
study that showed that refugee children can grow up with a need for power. I suspect
that this is probably not the whole picture but certainly part of their psychological
landscape. Bonnke saw many terrible things in his youth and I'm sure it gave him
more compassion for refuges, the poor and the persecuted. But there also seems
to be a great need in him to try to be a sort of "savior" in the flesh. This probably
stems from a vision that was presented to him as a young boy. "A visitor
who was present reported that she had a vision in which she saw a small boy with
thousands of black humans following him. To Reinhard, whose favorite reading besides
the Bible consisted of biographies of mission, this vision was of interest. One
year afterwards, at eleven years old, Reinhard experienced the "baptism of the
Holy Spirit" after his father had preached on the subject. Reinhard kneeled down
with others to receive the spirit baptism, of which Bonnke said "the strength
of God poured over me and into me inside. An inexpressible joy filled my heart,
and I began to speak in tongues as the Holy Spirit gave me utterance." 3 (emphasis
mine) These types of visions guided his entire ministry from that
point on. Later Bonnke would have another vision. "He saw a map of Africa, which
had blood poured all over it, which Bonnke interpreted as the blood of Jesus,
and that Africa would be cleaned: there would be a blood-washed Africa. In addition
Bonnke heard a voice which he interpreted as that of the Holy Spirit that said
"Africa will be saved".4 (emphasis mine) We all hope and pray for
many souls to be saved in Africa, but Africa is hardly likely to be completely
saved, and is not to this day. Also, the blood of Jesus Christ is shed for people,
not continents. Nevertheless, the point is that Reinhard went to South Africa
on the basis of these kinds of visions. Bonnke later became "a pastor
of the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in South Africa."5 Bonnke was not allowed
to do the kind of work he wanted to do in South Africa so he received permission
from the AFM to build up a work in Lesotho. It was there in Lesotho that the Lord
purportedly gave him another vision. "In prayer Bonnke asked God to
give him one million souls ... one millions souls for the sky. It was from this
prayer that Bonnke later developed his "war call": "We want to plunder the population
of hell for the sky!" But one millions souls were not "saved" in Lesotho. Bonnke
therefore returned again to South Africa.6 (emphasis mine) Later Bonnke
rented a large hall but only 100 people came. He pulled out all the stops and
did a big show with "slain in the spirit" claiming healings. The word got around
and later the stadium was filled with about a thousand people clamoring to be
healed. His biographer, Ron Steele, was quite blunt when he stated that the "human
attraction to the events were the reports of healings and miracles." 6 Bonnke
interpreted this as success. It is clear that Bonnke uses the same "slain in the
spirit" techniques to attract crowds like his counterparts in the Third Wave.
He has also made big shows out of having people bring objects they think have
demons connected to them, piling them on stage, and having a big bonfire.
Bonnke
Buddies Bonnke has many links to the Third Wave. "Bonnke met
with Yonngi Cho in 1982 in Seoul. In 1983 he visited ... T.L. Osborn in the USA.
When Bonnke was ready to leave he asked T.L. Osborn to pray for him. "No brother",
said T.L. "you pray for me." This meant that Bonnke was the leader in T.L. Osborne's
way of thinking. Pat Robertson of CBN endorsed Bonnke. C. Peter Wagner, the head
of the the spiritual warfare movement of the Third Wave started to be interested
in Bonnke. Bonnke is very much influenced by Wagner in his concept of "apostolic
warfare" a concept which assumes that evangelization can only be successful if
the target area is rid of demonic powers in advance through "combat prayer" ..."
7 (emphasis mine) "Charles Peter Wagner bent Bonnke in his later years
towards a spiritual warfare model and this can be seen in the fact that Bonnke
now sees spiritual warfare as a condition for evangelization success." 8 (emphasis
mine) So we can see clearly that Bonnke has influenced and been influenced
by the most well known leaders of the Third Wave. He is also a big proponent of
spiritual warfare, spiritual mapping, etc. Speaking of spiritual mapping, which
is promoted by C. Peter Wagner, George Otis, Jr. and YWAM on an international
scale, Bonnke also seems to have the same ethic as YWAM and Benny Hinn when it
comes to miracles and salvation: "Bonnke's activity in Nigeria is remarkable in
that in his meetings he encountered Nigerian Muslims who expressed a lot of interest,
and Muslims reported healings without feeling the need to turn to Christianity."
9 (emphasis mine) We have seen Benny Hinn slay non-believers in the
spirit who claim healing and YWAM is sending Muslims back to their mosques and
calling them "Messianic Muslims" if they profess faith in Jesus Christ. What kind
of evangelism is this?
Bonnke Beliefs Bonnke claims that "miracles are proof of the
presence of the power of God".10That may or may not be true. They can just as
easily be proof of a manipulation, a scam or demonic activity. The problem comes
when Bonnke is asked to produce proof of true miracles. "Respectable
medical people examined one of the miracles from Bonnke and found there was little
help. The problem is ... the public is presented with cases of people who were
not previously diagnosed and the former health status is unknown ..." 11 (emphasis
mine) "Bonnke's healings are naturally highly disputed. The fact that
Bonnke can hardly provide medically documented healings actually denies nobody
... there were no legs growing longer and none smaller ... the glorification of
miracles which are often not checked or are not medically provable, is to be rejected
as irresponsible ..." 12 (emphasis mine) The HBO special also detailed a number
of healings by Bonnke that were clearly not healings at all. He was asked to provide
documentation to HBO but no medical documentation was provided as far as we know.
This is par for the course with faith healers. Though I am not aware
that Bonnke has claimed He is Christ as has Benny Hinn on numerous occasions,
he has definitely claimed he has the same power as God to speak healing into existence.
Listen to his testimony at Brownsville Assembly Of God, Pensacola, FL where he
has been invited more than once to speak.
Reinhard Bonnke At Brownsville AoG "During his message the
Lord spoke to his heart & informed him that it was time to pray for the sick.
"Have all those who are totally blind be prayed for first." the Lord informed
him. As you can imagine, the enemy spoke directly also and said to him, "what
if they don't get healed? (Then you will be made to look the fool!") I think we
have all heard that from time to time here in America. Could it be that the same
devil is in Africa and America? His response to the enemy was immediate, and this
is what struck me. " It doesn't matter if they get healed or not, what
matters is that the Lord wants the blind to be prayed for now." (It is His business
anyway if they get healed, we obviously have nothing to do with that anyway.)
The Word is sure, "the Word of God" Jesus spoke to him "is as powerful in My mouth
as it is in your mouth." Reinhard said to himself, "that sounds like heresy."
The Lord repeated Himself, "My Word in My mouth is as powerful as My word in your
mouth!" Wow again!13 (emphasis mine) Reinhard Bonnke is clearly teaching
Word-Faith doctrines so he is clearly teaching heresy just like Benny Hinn and
all the rest! If the Word of God Bonnke was referring to was the Scriptures,
then I could agree. But what Bonnke is referring to is healing then this is clear,
unadulterated Word-Faith "confession" doctrine. Bonnke has been associated with
Word-Faith teachers for some time. Though he keeps out of controversies by being
out of the West a lot, his purpose for being at Brownsville in 1999 and many other
US Pentecostal churches was clearly to raise money.
Bonnke Backing
Reinhard Bonnke at Brownsville Revival School Of Missions
"When the money is raised for us to reach our country, and a booklet is mailed,
each household in the entire United States and Canada will receive this booklet
within a guaranteed 7 days! Think of that! When a decision card is mailed in,
the person will be contacted with a letter telling them several things including
the closest church in their area who previously responded to his campaign by agreeing
to a simple evangelistic statement with the churches address & phone number. A
letter will also be sent to the pastor informing him of the person soon to be
showing up at his church. No denomination. Just the local church! Wow!" 14 (emphasis
mine) What churches was Bonnke steering those who signed the decision card toward?
Third Wave churches who agreed with his platform, of course! All this
raising money from Word-Faith and Third Wave churches has made it impossible for
Bonnke to speak out against them, even if he wanted to. In fact he has been seen
raising money with the likes of Bishop Earl Paulk. When he was confronted about
it directly by another discernment ministry, the secretary was quick to phone
back and say that Bonnke "did not believe what Earl Paulk believes, but was using
the occasion to raise funds for his ministry." 15 The discernment ministry argued
with the secretary that by associating with Earl Paulk, Bonnke was giving Paulk
credibility and helping spread a false gospel. Would the Apostle Paul take money
from the temple prostitutes or the false Jews to support his ministry?
Bonnke
"Blessing"? Reinhard Bonnke has been around the Word-Faith
revival movement since its inception. In the beginning of the official history
of the counterfeit revival movement, Richard Riss details who, early on, laid
hands on Rodney Howard-Browne. Howard-Browne later got Randy Clark involved who
was one of the people who got John Arnott of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship
(The Toronto "Blessing") finally into the river. We all know the story from there.
Benny Hinn was instrumental in getting Howard-Browne to spread the
laughter movement which looks like it was something Hinn cooked up around 1986
which is shown on our new video called "Spirit Of Truth Or Spirit Of Error - Part
1 - Benny Hinn". Howard-Browne also got impartations from Kenneth Copeland, and
this was also caught on video. But let's go all the way back to Bonnke
who apparently gave a "real impartation" to Rodney Howard Browne back in 1991.
Many
prophets come in and out of that church, including Ed Corley, whose ministry is
very similar to that of Derek Prince, and Mike Connors, who was at one time A.
A. Allen's associate, and who is also a friend of Wade Taylor's at Pinecrest.
We want to make sure that it's God working in our midst, and we're seeing so many
lives change and marriages put back together, and pastors going back to their
churches restored and refreshed. In 1991 or 1992, Dr. Ron Shaw brought in Reinhardt
Bonnke (Shaw's brother-in-law), and there was a tremendous impartation given to
the pastors who were there, including Rodney Howard-Browne, who was visiting from
Karl Strader's Church (the first time he was there). Rodney did the
offering at that time, and was one of many, many pastors and leaders who received
a real impartation from Bonnke." 16 (emphasis mine) So here we also have clear
proof that Bonnke has been promoting a false transferable anointing that is not
Scriptural for many, many years. He is also here claimed to be one of the father's
of the Toronto "Blessing" which also spawned the Brownsville AoG "Outpouring".
How much more involved can you get in the apostate church?
Bonnke Boast
There has also been a story floating around for many years about Reinhard
Bonnke making a prophesy that Christ was going to appear and do something miraculous,
and within days a man identified as Maitreya appeared in the same area. I was
not able to verify this story until I ran across the account in a German article
talking about Share International and Benjamin Creme. Here is the English translation
of the German text, a little hard to read, but I will give you the gist of it
in a moment. "In June 1988 a great evangelism effort by the mission
Christ For All Nations with the healing healer Reinhard Bonnke took place in Nairobi.
Bonnke ministered in exactly the same area as (Mary) Akatsa, healing people, and
promising the same performance, supernatural healing in the context of mass meetings.
Mary Akatsa saw herself confronted, in the meantime in June 1988, with the situation
of competition from a sound preacher ... Bonnke emphasized the date of June 11
separately, at which time Christ would in a special way would point Himself. In
Bonnke's language this announcement meant that Christ would evidence Himself by
unusually numerous miracles during the service. In addition, on June
11 Mary Akatsa also made a marvelous announcement. She explained to her public
during the service that they could expect a miracle, because a very important
guest would come and give her a vital message. A white-dressed man of southern
Arab decent appeared on the stage, appearing to the simple public in Nairobi like
a Palestinian. ... The shape (of this "Jesus" figure) legitimized Mary Akatsa
as a "true representative of the Highest One", which Akatsa was very useful in
its competition with Bonnke ... In summary, the appearance of " Jesus " can in
the Church Of Bethlehem in Nairobi on 11 June 1988 has a high probability of being
a publicity campaign of the Predigerin Mary Akatsa in her competition with Bonnke.
..." 17 (emphasis mine) This is one of the news accounts where the
rumors started. Unfortunately it is impossible from this account to tell if Bonnke
said Jesus Christ would appear or if He would manifest Himself in miracles. I
would love to hear from someone who was there who has what he said on tape. Mary
Akatsa was able to use this prideful statement and now we have pictures all over
the web of Maitreya's appearance in Nairobi. It may very well be that Akatsa was
jealous of Bonnke and used his prophesy to her advantage. But I would
like to point out that when prophetic statements are made from the stage which
the Lord has not ordained, this is exactly the type of advantage we can expect
the enemy to take of that kind of situation. Let this be a lesson to everyone
who claims to speak a thing in the name of the Lord!
Conclusion It doesn't really matter that Reinhard Bonnke allegedly
preaches the gospel, although I have yet to hear him do so on the tapes I have
seen. What matters are his false miracles well documented in the HBO special.
What matters is that even if he is preaching the gospel he is throwing dirt on
it by doing fake healer tricks like Morris Cerrulo and Benny Hinn as seen on the
HBO special. What matters is that he further muddies the gospel when
he hangs around with Word-Faith teachers and takes money from them in support
of his ministry. What matters is that he buries the gospel with a
false impartation that was never mandated or taught in Scripture. In fact in Exodus
it is made very clear that our anointing (pictured in the oil) is for each individual
alone and attempted impartation of the true anointing of the Holy Spirit is an
abomination to the Lord. It also cannot be done "by" human hands because the Holy
Spirit of God is sovereign and moves where He wills, not at the command of people.
The few times during Pentecost when the Spirit was given separately from salvation
He indwelled the new believers "at" the laying on of hands, not "by" the laying
on of hands. The fact that no power transfer was possible "by" the Apostles became
evident when Simon Magus tried to buy the power for himself and was roundly rebuked.
And finally, what matters is that Bonnke completely covers over the gospel when
he adds the Word-Faith "confession" doctrine of demons. We can only
pray that Reinhard Bonnke will repent of all the false doctrines and false healings
he has done, leading millions of Two Thirds world peoples away from the true Gospel
message and into deadly error. Is Bonnke a minister of the Gospel today? Hardly!

CONCLUSION:
Did you think this would never end :-) ? Well,
this is it. We come to the conclusion of
this study of this men. Reinhart Bonnke was clearly a prime mover in the
Holy Laughter Movement. He passed "The Power" to Rodney Howard Browne, and
we now know that Browne was, until that day, a drop out and academic reject from
the Rhema Movement. Browne got his prima donna debut, and he became the
"bar tender" of Satan in the drunken orgies of Holy Laughter, from which thousands
of Charismatics have fled in fear and embarrassment. Have you?
We also see that Bonnke claims many of his now 2 million "converts"
have been Muslims. This fulfills a prophecy, reported by John Mac Arthur
during the 1970s, in which a Melodyland Prophet prophesied a "great moving of
the Holy Spirit among millions of Muslims who will be filled with the Spirit"--
no mention of salvation! Old time missionaries know very well that
Muslims DO NOT come to Christ by the thousands, period, full stop! Research
by some old line Pentecostals has recently confirmed that these claims, which
were later made on TBN, are lies. Now,
here is the punch line. Bonnke, source of power of the Holy Laughter Movement,
promoter of unbiblical "fire" evangelism, and self-proclaimed Evangelist to millions
of Muslims, was in Uhuru Park, Nairobi, the Thursday before "Lord Maitreya" appeared
to a village of Muslims Saturday who were thronged around an occult priestess
of Satan who carried a crucifix (as the photo on the previous page showed). Bonnke,
for the first time in the history of Maitreya, called the day, Saturday following,
and city of the appearance of Maitreya, and attributed the appearance to The Lord
Jesus Christ. The crowd in the Muslim village, undoubtedly aware of Bonnke's
prophecy three days earlier, at once fell down in worship of Maitreya, calling
him Jesus Christ. Even Benjamin Creme has not been able to call a day and
place where Maitreya would appear so accurately. I
have to be careful now. You, dear reader, have no idea how I hate the heresy
of Charismatic "fire," Holy Laughter, "impartation of power," "slain in the spirit,"
and all the jerk-water activities that go on and are passed off as the work of
the Holy Ghost of the Godhead. Nevertheless; there are many in the Charismatic
movement who are truly born again by faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. To
you I plead-- "Come out of her my people." I
weep for you. Why stay in this Whore system. If this "Lord Maitreya"
is not the Antichrist, he is doing a great dress rehearsal my friend. Your
man Bonnke is perhaps the greatest pivotal power source in the Third Wave,
and he is Maitreya's False Prophet. How do you want to be caught up to the
Bridegroom? Babbling like a fool about some heretic who is Satan's personal
Major Domo for the next seven years of demonic Laodicean vomit? Oh please,
"come out of her." Choose you this day, whom you will serve-- Baal of God?
Credit where credit is due. Thank you Jeffrey
W_____ for catching this Maitreya business for me. To the reader, Jeffrey
used to attend Promise Keepers rallies. He now has made a vow to never do
so again, and he is spreading the word about our pages on PK. Jeffrey meets
with a "small group" who are determined to stay on the Narrow Way-- Oh yes,
the group is not Baptist or "Fundamentalist." They are post-Third Wave Bible
believers. Praise the Lord. HALLELUJAH! It's OK to shout here
:-) For
the record Rinehard Bonnke's representative sent the following,
which I (Editor of Balaam's Ass Speaks) don't believe, but here it is:
From: Peter-Van@rbmi.org (Peter van den Berg) To: SteveVanN@aol.com
('SteveVanN@aol.com') The newspapers, as usual, were happy to have
some exciting news to write about but local churches and a joint Ministers association
in Nairobi (I can't remember the name) issued a statement that this woman was
known for extreme and heretical statements and that they distanced themselves
from this so called 'appearance' of Jesus and the associated prophecy.

say a flat "NO" would be folly, but we are not given instruction in the Word to
make a big thing of this. I believe the saints may very well discern who
he is just before the Rapture of the Church. If that bothers you, don't
panic. It isn't really very important compared to watching for the Lord
