HOW DID WE GET HERE First, understand that the nuclear context of he 1950s through 1980s is gone. The USSR has joined the game of world domination as a capitalist nation. The new boogie man is Osama bin Laden and other terrorists. The point on the map is gone, and the point of enemy contact is ONLY the TV in your corner. The threat is illusive, it is a concept, not a national entity. The motive for acts of terror is not atheist Communism, it is perceived as a doctrine of religion, Jihad. The new boogie man is in the mind of US and other Western leaders' minds, not parked around the great plaza of the Kremlin. The US Government has morphed our propaganda agencies from trying to convince Communists that they were getting a poor deal to convincing the American people that dozens of small nations are viciously deadly and need to be destroyed. Most American believe that, and they do not have a clue how the world mocks at the naive way in which we define ourselves and our enemies. After 9/11 the whole world offered the USA an enormous reservoir of sympathy for our loss. The will, worldwide, to deal with terrorist, was unanimous. Instead of building on this goodwill, George Bush cast it aside, mocked at the UN, and unilaterally invaded Iraq. The American Empire was still on a roll. What has been building since Teddy Roosevelt engineered the "freedom" of Panama, rambled on through the arrogant world manipulation of Woodrow Wilson, and came to be doctrinaire under Kennedy and Reagan, is not out in the world in jack boots. So, there are more and more nations, some of them very powerful, who, at best, distrust us, and at worst, are sworn to destroy us. It is commonly perceived that terrorism is the great peril, and it is a serious threat. The real threat is this: The whole world may one day decide that it is time to eliminate the last Empire-- the USA. Our war policies, openly defined by the Bush administration, are to launch preventive war against anyone who might even have the ability to make nuclear weapons. This was the logic to invade Iraq. There were no WMDs, and there was NO friendship between Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden who actually hated each other. When the Islamic nations who have been frightened or attacked finally turn to the East for help, Europe will be forced to decide if they will side with the USA or with the East. Bible prophecy shows that the USA is not a factor in the final hour of the Times of the Gentiles, so we can understand that the EU and Russia will turn toward Jerusalem, the East, and their own interests. At that point in time it will be open season for anyone on earth to attack the USA. Nuclear attack can go either of two ways: 1. Thousands of small hand carried devices set off in many random places. 2. A full all out launch of high end missiles from all directions against strategic targets where maximum disruption of life would be the object. It is an option to just pretend this could never happen, and it may not. But, history tells us that when a nation builds and empire, whether real estate or banking, oil, and debt, if the vanquished ever get an edge, or even if they feel cornered, they will lash out regardless of the cost to themselves. The fact that we can wipe nations off the map does NOT imply that they will not lash out at us. The bondage of the US internationalists and banks over the world is approaching a point where we cannot retreat from our ongoing rush forward without going bankrupt. We depend on the empire at war and winning to keep the economy of the USA thriving. Thus, the war with the world has been given a vision by George Bush II-- The vision is to trash nations and remake them with democracy. The average American, especially far right NGOs and churches, have inhaled the incense of the satirists' propaganda. The far right have totally ignored the fact that the real reason for invasion of the Middle East is to acquire a base from which to rule the oil world and world commerce. The left says nothing because they are just as motivated by industrial conquest and Liberals own stock in the same companies the Bush mob buy. Once the USA is in place in the Middle East, all hell will break loose and is already. The EU is enraged that they did not get to Baghdad first. Let Asia come up with a plan for trashing the USA, and the EU will look the other way. With nuclear devices Islamic terrorists and Asian and Chinese adversaries could bring the USA down in two explosion in two hours. The bull's eye would be the NY Stock Market and Washington DC. So, we do well to consider how we will survive after the world turns loose their rage against the USA. These pages are the best thing I have found.
