I listed this with Gramma's "Famous Recipes," not because it was a favorite, but because it was "famous" in the family. With Gramma being born in China, I'm not sure how this "tried-and-couldn't-be-Chinese" dish got to be so much of a favorite with her. I think it was because it was easy for serving a group. But, boy, didn't we wish it had been her fried chicken instead when she put this one on the table! It was ok in moderation, but it didn't hold a candle to her fried chicken.
