Are you going to a Sunday School that has nothing but videos for the lesson? I know this is happening all over America. These videos are made by people who have worked in Hollywood and for Disneyland. They are not real Christians, but they make cartoon Sunday School videos for churches. Why? Answer: They get big money for these junk videos. I was visiting a church recently where the pastor and leaders were in a panic because someone had taken the video for next Sunday. They were mad because they were going to have to actually study their Bibles to teach a lesson to the kids.
If your Sunday School teacher cannot teach anymore, talk to your Dad or Mom about finding a church where the teachers have to study their Bibles and teach on Sunday. If your Dad won't listen, ask him to sit in on your Sunday School class one Sunday. These videos are made to keep you coming to church just to see goodie TV type stuff-- like you see on Saturday morning. How would you like to get Jesus all mixed up in your head with She Ra or Casper? Jesus says that we need to have a teacher, not a video. And, that means even Odyssey videos are NOT a teacher. A teacher is a person, not a TV.
If your pastor says that a TV is a teacher, you need to find another church and another pastor. Start praying to the Lord for a way to get to a real Sunday School, and feel free to send me E-Mail asking for help.
The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Goggle eyeing a TV is NOT studying the Bible. Studying is when we open a Bible and find good things from the Lord Jesus Christ to fill our mind and soul. Don't settle for cold oatmeal when God offers you steak and eggs.
