PROPHECY-- BABYLON
THE WOMAN IN THE EPHAH,
OR THE GREAT HARLOT
The woman in the ephah is a very difficult prophecy to explain. There is much controversy on this prophecy as well as the flying scroll.
I am not dogmatic about my take on this, but I also will stand by it unless someone makes a clearer explanation of it. No prophecy in the Bible is meant to be impossible for us to understand.
Some prophecies simply have not yet been fulfilled. The ephah is one of them, so it is important to avoid condemnation of other Bible believers who do not agree with us on such prophecies. It is amazing how much fellowship and friendship has been destroyed in the Lord's Church over prophecies that have not yet been fulfilled.
Definition of Ephah
1- It is the name of a tribe of Arabs from near Syria.
2- It is a measure used mainly for grain.
3- It means Gloomy or Darkness
The Woman in the Ephah
The prophecy teachers and alleged experts ALL avoid this text. I know of no one who will even discuss it publicly. Why? Well, it has not happened, and it points directly to the Whore of Revelation. AND, it violates ALL the pet schemes of the modern teachers. Here is the passage:
Zechariah 5:5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.
6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.
7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.
8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
10 Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?
11 And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.The flying roll of the same context is equally mysterious, and I believe both it and the woman in the ephah are in reference to the time of the end of Israel's dispersion and the preparation for the coming Messiah. That is the context of the whole book of Zechariah. So, the woman is in the context of Revelation 17. But, the Whore of Revelation 17 is strictly associated with the counterfeit Christendom. This is NOT only the Roman Catholic Church. Anyone still pulling this line has to be brain dead. The Whore is ALL of Christendom, and all religion in the earth which joins this monster Whore.
Now, in the Zechariah passage above you see that the woman is taken from her traditional seat of power and forced to be carried to Shinar. Shinar is the land where Nimrod built his five cities, of which Babylon was the capital. Babylon continued to be the seat of pagan hate for Jehovah from Nimrod onward. In Ezekiel 8 we see men with their backs to the temple facing Babylon in the east and watching for the sun to come up. This is the Babylonian cult to this day as seen in the Easter sunrise service, a throwback to ancient paganism.
The Whore system will one day move to Babylon-- LITERALLY! God is not the author of confusion. Shinar is NOT the UN, nor the USA, nor Rome. Shinar is Shinar to this hour. If you don't care to go out on a limb as a biblical literalist, at least learn to keep your big mouth shut with all this stupid speculation as to what Babylon is today. Mystery Babylon is the spiritual representation of the literal Babylon. They one day will be reunited in literal Babylon, then the horror of Jeremiah 50-51 will be fulfilled. Babylon has NOT been destroyed as Jeremiah described it.
Babylon was never destroyed as predicted in Jeremiah where her end is absolute and she becomes a total waste land. As late as the 1700s British explorers found Jews still living in Babylon. Alexander the Great found quite a community in Babylon. The wise men of Jesus' day were from that area. Peter wrote a letter to the saints from Babylon. And, Babylon today has been about 90% restored by Saddam Hussein. One day, after the fulfillment of Jeremiah 50-51, Babylon will NEVER be inhabited again, not even during the Kingdom of Messiah. It will be the habitation of jackals and owls. Read it yourself before you try to schmooze me with your pet theory.
Please notice in the text above that the woman and ephah have the wings of storks. These are unclean birds, so they are NOT symbolic of the Holy Spirit or anything wholesome. The woman in the ephah event is in the future, and evil is migrating. We have another article which shows that the Whore system is being united for the end times in Brussels at this hour, and the imagery of Revelation 17 is being used by the EU and the Whore.
At the right you can see the migration pattern of the White Stork of Europe. Some of these storks even winter in southern Iraq and would fly right over modern Baghdad and restored Babylon. I believe this symbolism is used because Zechariah would have seen the stork wings as familiar from living in that area.
Finally, there is a definition parallel here that is interesting. The word Ephah also means gloomy or darkness in the Hebrew. Thus, the woman in the Ephah is dark, or "this is wickedness" as in verse 8 above. No other work fits the Roman Catholic Church, AND the united world religions as they come together. The ongoing picture of this wickedness as I write is Rick Warren and his mad frenzy to unite world politics, business, and religion.
This is the seat (see photo below of the Vatican) of the most prominent whore church today. I personally have heard Roman Catholics, including one missionary priest, tell me that the Vatican is full of Satanism, Masonry, and witchcraft and is indeed a whore as to Christian teaching.
Soon, all world religion will unite into THE whore, the last great wicked harlot monster of religious compromise.
So the Great Whore (also called "The Harlot" in Bible prophecy) will move to Babylon, but what about Jerusalem?

42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.Now, who wants to take Jerusalem and make it "a city for the three great monotheistic religions?" The Pope. This Pope came very close, and the counterfeit Jewish Zionists have virtually agreed to give the Pope what he wants. The logistics seem to be the stumbling block. Tthe Roman Whore lusts for, and may get, Mount Zion. It is then necessary to justify the Babylonian prophecy with the Daniel prophecy. I believe, as best we can see it before the Rapture of the Lord's true Bride, that Babylon will be the center of world religion, while the Antichrist will rule from Mount Zion, That is not so very hard to imagine. All that is needed is for Saddam Hussein to die and be replaced by a moderate ruler, or Saddam himself may get religion and GIVE Babylon to the Wore system. The devils in the present Whore would LOVE this, for they would be able to take Christendom to Babylon. And, I believe that is right where Christ wants the Whore.
Unfinished business-- Damascus
Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
Read the rest of the chapter. Damascus is the oldest continuous city without being conquered in all world history. This prophecy has NOT been fulfilled. It has to happen before God will terminate the present age, or at least before the Messianic Kingdom. So, this remains unfulfilled, and it could happen any day. It may well be part of the destruction wrecked along the way as God and Magog move south against Israel. It sure would make a great pretext-- Rescuing Israel from Syria.
Babylon IS back in all its glory
Other comments on this page show this point. I simply want to point out that God has not yet destroyed Babylon. Read Jeremiah 50-51. You will see that Babylon has an appointment with the God hated by Nimrod and all its kingdom's ever since. Saddam Hussein has rebuilt Babylon, and only the irrigation system and the hanging gardens are yet to be done. When Desert Storm was initiated by George Bush in cooperation with Saddam Hussein, Hussein was in the process of contacting international hotel companies to build hotels along the Euphrates River. Hussein made sure not one shred of Islam was included in Babylon. He wanted the city to be 100% authentic in its pagan heritage.
If your favorite Bible teacher told you Babylon was destroyed long ago, he was pulling some line he learned at some deadbeat seminary I suppose. This destruction cannot happen until the woman in the ephah (Whore Church) is moved to Shinar. God will trash both physical Babylon and the Whore on the same day. Then the jackals will own Babylon until the end of the world.
The woman in the ephah has already had her place prepared for her. All that is needed is for the White Race EU jack boots, with the Whore Church riding on her, to find a reason to move to Shinar.
Gog and Magog
Ezekiel 38:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.God draws Russia, Germany, and other nations south, even if they do not want to come. Something God prepares for them will seduce them to go. In verse 7 is the most peculiar thing-- God tells Magog to be a guard to Israel, and until we come to verse 10 it would seem that Magog intends to defend Israel. As they move south toward Israel they get another thought and decide to take Israel in plunder.
So, it seems that this kingdom will move south to rescue Israel, and on the way, they will get an evil thought. The pretext will be based on the present alliance in place between Israel and Russia and China. This prophecy in Ezekiel does NOT have to happen during the Great Tribulation. It could be another world war development, and the USA could be trash by then by several means. The United Nations and Europe would stand by and do nothing, or the EU could be busy trying to control Iran and Syria. The toes of iron and clay cannot be depended on to participate in the battles with zeal until Armageddon.
