I
am finding the battle with the disciples of Jack Hyles a threat to my health.
I have been threatened with physical attack, hints of death, entrapped in "private"
email exchanges which were later posted to large mailing lists, lied
about on boards, and threatened with law suits. This has not been from the Hyles
family-- It has come from his disciples.
November
2012 The story
finally has closure. With the arrest and jailing of Jack Schaap, Jack Hyles' hand
picked successor at First Baptist of Hammond, who is also Hyles' son-in-law, this
story finally has its final verdict-- These men will burn in hell.
Thus,
I am vindicated for initiating this exposé years ago. It does not feel
good, it is as revolting as it was from day one. But, I now feel vindicated, at
least by my Lord.
No
one in Christendom, nor in witchcraft, nor the sodomites, have sent me more filthy
and hateful mail than the Hyles people. They are bullies with no restraint. Their
level of hate is beyond measure. In fact, I have lost my confidence in the Baptist
concept. The lust for porn, power, and pesos by Baptist preachers, by and large,
is beyond anything I have seen in the rest of Christendom. And, I think that is
not an overstatement.
I
have lived in the midst of Anglicans, Maryknoll Fathers, Jesuits, Pentecostals,
Holiness, Methodists, Episcopalians, Whiskeypalians, Presbyterians, Dutch Reformed,
Lutherans, Nazarenes, Independents, Armenians, Orthodox, Mormons, Mennonites,
Amish, and others I cannot recall now. I have NEVER seen anything as hate driven,
and as blind in guruism, as the Hyles club.
Even
Benny Hinn, Paul Crouch, and the Pope will happily take your gift, pat you on
the head, and walk off content. The average Fundamental Baptist preacher pockets
your gift, and then he takes control of your home, your kids, your wife, your
procreation choices, your time, your clothing choices, your loyalty, and your
mind.
Why?
Hey, you tell me. I do not understand it. It is all covered by the trick called
"pastoral rule." Sig Heil, mein Balaam. And, I have many stories in
email from people who attended a Hyles driven local church, and they one day asked
the pastor some simple question about the authority of Jack Hyles over their church.
VERY often, the pastor will run them straight out the door at once and curse them.
He may even hit the husband in the face. This, even though the family may be heavily
involved and good givers. Tell me, what is THAT?
I
have seen more and more of the violence and hate in general within Fundamentalism.
There is more and more talk of killing queers and of getting out the guns. It
may not be long before Bible believers will be pulling their .357 to run off a
Fundamental Baptist who is determined to destroy their peace. My son was stalked
by a Baptist preacher and his assistant who had claimed they would "straighten
out" my son. My son is a big fellow and strong. But, he did not want to have
to bust the nose of the fat lout of a preacher, so he hid as if he was not home.
The
beloved enemy may be YOU! What do you think? My most deadly enemies are not the
FEDs or the New World Order. My most dedicated and dangerous enemies are "good
godly Christians" who are demon possessed and shouting "Amen" every
Sunday morning to a hacking slobbering Fundamental Baptist preacher.
What
will be coming next? I believe the next level of depravity we will see in Fundamental
Baptist circles will be bisexuality and sodomy among pastors. It will be in the
closet, but it will become terrible. Arrogance unquestioned breeds the most sinister
things. What does this have to do the Jack Hyles? Not much. I just needed to let
you know what I believe is the next thing coming.
CAUTION:
Not all Fundamental Baptist pastors are such beasts, but you need to know that
you cannot just drift along without examining all things. Thank God for you who
have caught on and gotten right. Virtually ALL Hyles men are suspect and should
be avoided. If you love your wife, and your daughter's virginity, you will not
go near a Hyles church.
Furthermore;
all Baptists, no matter how sound they me be perceived, are on their way to the
Hyles mind. I believe there is a devil investment in the Baptist movement, similar
to the demonic invasion of the Methodist Church in about the 1950s, which will
destroy virtually all Baptist churches eventually.
STATEMENT
ON THE PASSING OF JACK HYLES
Friends
of ours have told us of a pagan cult now raging throughout Fundamental Baptist
churches. This is the Hyles cult. Over the years Jack Hyles has orchestrated a
following of weak minded and godless pastors who follow his very thought patterns.
Back
in the 1970s I had a preacher friend in California who attended a Hyles Preacher's
Conference, and he returned obsessed with the person of Jack Hyles. I know that
for years Hyles Anderson trained preacher boys who came out of his school using
his sermon notes, right down to the jokes and illustrations, for the rest of their
lives.
I
have heard Hyles preach, and I don't even believe most of his illustrations were
his own or even that they really happened. ALL of Hyles stories were self-serving
in the extreme.
Hyles
is the Gospel to many demented Baptists today. It has gone so far that church
leaders and members of local churches are now wearing lapel badges which say,
"100% for Hyles". In these churches, new people are asked, "Are
you 100% for Hyles?" If the answer is not eagerly affirmative, the new people
are run off. Missionaries to these churches have to pass the test also.
Thus,
Jack Hyles has become the guru of a cult around his person, NOT the Person of
Jesus Christ. Hyles can do no wrong, even if he chases women, and Hyles very tone
of voice and hand gestures are considered sacred. Men who seek pastorates in Hyles
churches must spend time watching Hyles with a view to adopting all of his mannerisms
if they want to be called to pastor these churches.
BUT
THE GURU IS DEAD
Hyles
recently went on to his reward, and I have been slow responding here. This is
because I have wondered what to say. This new fad of the "100% for Hyles"
convinced me. I must say something on Hyles. Here is my opinion:
If
Hyles LIKED the cultic following he received, and if Hyles thought he needed "100%
for Hyles" as the creed of his groupies, then Jack Hyles is in hell right
now screaming for water. The servant of Jesus Christ never desires a following
of himself. He rejects a following and points men to Jesus-- not just in false
cute humility, but to the extent of rebuking anyone who clings to him rather than
Jesus. He will go to great lengths to avoid it.
Here
is John the Baptist dealing with his following:
John
3:28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that
I am sent before him. 29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the
friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because
of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30 He must
increase, but I must decrease.
Hyles
increased and increased at the expense of Jesus. Men who never wore a lapel button
with "100% for Jesus" on it wore one with "100 % for Hyles"
on it. That is blasphemy. What office was Hyles running for if it was not grand
guru of Hammond?
Paul
fiercely rebuked the church at Corinth:
1 Corinthians 1:11 For it hath been declared unto me of
you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions
among you. 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul;
and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided?
was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
Jack
Hyles is not on record EVER rebuking his groupies for saying "I am of Hyles"
or "100% for Hyles". Jude told us this was coming in his epistle:
Jude 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after
their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons
in admiration because of advantage.
So,
if Hyles basked in the glory of the cultic praise and devotion of his groupies,
he was NOT a Christian. The true believer in Jesus Christ exalts Jesus Christ,
NOT himself. I speak with confidence in this, for I have seen Jack Hyles in action,
and my close friends have seen the adulation and virtual worship foisted upon
Hyles by his students, leaders, and followers in "Hyles churches" around
the USA. I have several reports of women's gatherings where the ladies screamed
when Hyles arrived on the platform. Hyles loved it.
Titus
2:2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity,
in patience.
Did
Hyles die for your sins? NO!
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments,
that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates
into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and
murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
"100%
for Hyles" is a lie! The lie is that Hyles and the Gospel are one and the
same. For that lie you could burn in hell. You decide.
A
clear indication that Hyles did NOT know Jesus Christ is in his cultic prayer
to another mediator-- He boldly told his followers that before he went out to
preach each Sunday, he bowed before a picture of his mother in his office, and
he prayed to her asking her to pray to Jesus for him that he would preach well.
Hyles
may well have been a Jesuit plant, for we see here the "Mother of God"
Catholic notion and praying to Mary in a Baptist candy wrapper.
If
you have been a follower of the Guru Jack Hyles, and if you wish to repent and
follow Jesus Christ, you need to publicly denounce your error.
This
creep uses the Apocrypha to expose Luther's alleged evils. Luther's Bible has
survived the ages just as the King James Bible did. Luther's Bible and the KJV
(and the Geneva Bible) are the ONLY Reformation Bibles which are the Word of God
in any Anglo Saxon language. Now, Hyles claimed to be KJV only. Hmmmmm. His flunky
disciple on this attack page uses, are you ready, the New American Standard Bible
which is based on the Roman Catholic Greek texts which all the Reformers and Erasmus
rejected.
Now,
here is the ultimate madness-- the jerk attacked Luther, the one who lead the
troops out of the Whore, and then the writer used this verse, "I no longer
call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing. I have
called you friends..." That is from the New American Bible, a recent Roman Catholic
translation of the Bible. Do you see what the morals of Jack Hyles did to his
followers? As with their master guru, they believe that any wickedness is acceptable
in the battle, any lie and perversion is glorious.
Finally,
this writer accuses Luther for being evil for his statement (which WAS unbiblical),
"Be a sinner, and let your sins be strong, but let your trust in Christ be stronger,
and rejoice in Christ who is the victor over sin, death, and the world. We will
commit sins while we are here, for this life is not a place where justice resides...
No sin can separate us from Him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands
of times each day." Yes, Luther said that, but to use a blasphemous Whore bible
to prove Luther was wrong is insane.
Do
you know why it is OK to lie and use Satan's bible to trash Luther? Answer: Luther
was not a Baptist, and it is OK to use any Satanic device to attack a non-Baptist.
One more quote used by the writer as proof of his Roman Catholic preferences--
"Why are you so resentful and crestfallen? If you do well, you can hold up your
head; but if not, sin is a demon lurking at the door: his urge is toward you,
yet you can be his master."

I have written long ago in the former version of the journal, Balaam's Ass
Speaks, that I thought Jack Hyles was very possibly a Jesuit or Opus Dei plant
in Fundamentalism to make havoc of the Lord's Church. I know he approved of Xavier
University, and he prayed to his mother and said so opening. Here is a disciple
of his using the Whore to trash the Reformation. Selah

am delighted to be in his list of heretics, for I am the heretic of several
Muslim Mullahs, Freemasons, John MacArthur's hounds, witches, egg head scholars,
and many others. If I were not on this child's heretic list I would fall on my
knees and beg God to show me where I had failed him. By the way, please

pastor a Baptist church here in Alabama, I also attended Hyles college for 2 1/2
years before I realized my need to move on. Since then, I have seen so many churches
torn apart over loyalty to this man. The fundamental issue of Jesus Christ was
always laid to the side as people argued over Hyles, Bob Jones, Lester relief
or any other person they gave their loyalty to.
It
is a scary time when we are faced with not being able to worship together because
we do not "support" someone 100%. But when our love for God fails, we humans must
have something there to worship...

LETTER FROM A HYLES VICTIM
I
just read a big part of your website on Jack Hyles, and I agree with you very
much. He and the whole following almost completely lack humility which is one
of the fruits of the spirit. He was always very cocky and self absorbed. I made
the same observation as you about the stories he told. They were always centered
around him and who knows if they were all true or accurate. I am originally from
the suburbs of Chicago and we played his high school, Hammond Baptist, and the
same problem existed. The teens' conduct for a "Christian" school was abysmal.
Their
idea of salvation is warped beyond comprehension. They believe as long as a person
says the "sinner's prayer" then they are saved no matter if they meant it or not.
I asked one person about this and he said, "well, you just never know if they
meant it or not". They beat their chests over something that is so obviously wrong
and grossly inaccurate.
Have
you ever heard of his claim that one million people are saved in the Chicago area
just because of his church? Ridiculous! If a million
people actually got saved just from Jack Hyles' followers, then Chicago would
be a bastion of Christianity, and Illinois would be a very conservative state-
we know the opposite is true. I, unfortunately, attended a Hyles church in California
back in '93 while in the Marine Corps. I hated it.
The
same problems existed in that church with everything - no humility, disrespectful
kids, and, of course, the pastor, I believe, was adulterous. The pastor was the
reason for his secretary's divorce. Her husband became jealous of the time his
wife and the pastor were spending and in the way they seemed to "enjoy" each other's
company. She would go into his office, and close the door with just the two of
them inside. Abstaining from appearances of evil must not be in the Hyles bible.
Jack Hyles
did make a trip to this church in California while I was there for some conference.
I went to it, and I wanted to talk to him after the service. I asked him if he
remembered my church south of Chicago. He looked at me in the eye, and said, "that
church is awful, just awful. They averaged 1600 on Sunday morning and now it is
only averaging 500. They should have never pulled their support for me."
I
officially lost all respect for him and his followers. He actually pinned the
decline of my home church on it pulling their support for him. My church's decline
began back in '83 at the beginning of the building fund because it wasn't Christ
honoring. The decline occurred 10 years before our pastor pulled his support for
Hyles. I believe Hyles knew that fact, but did not care and twisted it to fit
his own purposes. I can't stand that entire following.

Dear
Steve,
With
my husband's permission, I want to send thanks to you for posting information
about Jack Hyles on your web site. I have almost daily telephone fellowship with
a friend in another city. We have been lamenting that we cannot find authentic
Christian fellowship in our respective areas, even though we have been diligently
praying about it for many years. Saturday, two days after our conversation on
the topic, someone knocked at my front door. When I opened it, there were two
young men who nervously asked me if I had ever heard of their church. I told them
that I knew where it was. They then asked where I currently attended, but I refused
to disclose to them that we are not members of a congregation. After some more
conversation, they left after handing me their church's service schedule.
A
few hours later, my husband went outside, and a car with two older women in it
stopped. The driver lowered her window and told my husband that she was one of
the young men's grandmother, and the pastor's wife. Apparently, her grandson had
indicated which house was ours, and that I didn't slam the door in their faces.
I'm not sure if she was looking for an invitation to come inside, but since my
husband didn't know that her grandson had been to our house earlier, and didn't
understand why she stopped, he just continued about his business.
At
first, I couldn't put my finger on why I was disturbed by these visits. I wondered
why they were canvassing our neighborhood, and inviting just anyone into their
assembly. It's a fundamental Baptist congregation, so that seemed odd, given their
usual stance on separation. When the young man was speaking to me, he never questioned
whether I was a believer. He just kept pushing his grandfather's Sunday School
program. Then, the second "visit' from his grandmother was equally odd.
I
thought that I was being too critical, and that maybe the Lord had sent these
people. I tossed and turned all night about going to their Sunday morning service.
As much as I desire local fellowship, something still bothered me about the visitations.
That's when I decided to check out their church's web site. One of the pastor's
comments about himself was that he had attended Hyles Anderson College.
There
it was! I remembered that you had posted some things about Jack Hyles on your
web site. After re-reading several articles, I was so grateful that we didn't
bother to go to their services this morning. Thank you so very much for all the
work you've done for the Lord, and His body. I know it's not been easy to take

Jack
Schaap, son-in-law of Jack Hyles and pastor following Hyles made himself famous
and hated in Christendom for his explicit sermons with sexual discussions, even
to the discussion of the mother of Jesus, Mary.

I
was going to save this for the link list on Wednesday, but this is a developing
news story that is worthy of some attention now.
Normally,
I don’t re-blog news events reported at Stuff Fundies Like, which is a site/blog
devoted to people who grew up in ultra conservative Evangelical churches or more
strict Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches, mostly because they usually involve
people only known in that milieu, and while sexual scandals do occur — as
they do in mainstream Evangelicalism and mainline Protestantism, too — they
often take place in obscure churches in relatively backwater locations.
But
Jack Schaap is a superstar in that movement, and First Baptist Church of Hammond,
Indiana (south of Chicago) is the church pastored for many years by Schaap’s
father-in-law, Jack Hyles. (As a child, I actually attended a service there once
with my parents; and remembered the massivefleet of buses and assembly-line-styled
baptisms.) On Wednesday night, CBS
News in Chicago reported, “The longtime pastor of a northwest Indiana
church has been dismissed due to an ‘improper relationship with a young
woman.’Dr. Jack Schaap, who has been pastor of First Baptist Church in Hammond
for 11 years, was removed Tuesday, according to a church spokesman.”

those of you unfamiliar with Schaap or fundamentalism in general, might want to

While hindsight is always 20/20, I’d like to observe here that if your pastor
is obsessed about sex, or extremely explicit about sex in his sermons –whether
it’s Ed Young or Mark Driscoll — that might be a red flag.

preachers need to learn to listen to the right people.

pleaded guilty last month to taking the girl, who was receiving counseling from
him and was one of his congregants at First Baptist, across state lines into Illinois
and Wisconsin for sexual activity.
Schaap
said during his hearing he didn’t realize what he was doing was criminal, although
he did know it was a sin.
The
investigation into Schaap came out in August when First Baptist announced his
firing because of the affair. They turned the case over to the Lake County Sheriff’s
Department, and federal charges against Schaap were announced in September. Schaap
is being held without bond pending his sentencing. His plea agreement with the
government calls for him to serve the minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years in
prison.
A
federal judge has sealed communication between Jack Schaap, the former pastor
of First Baptist Church of Hammond, and his 17-year-old victim, according to an
order filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court in Hammond.
U.S.
District Judge Rudy Lozano granted a motion by Schaap’s attorneys to keep the
documents, which include emails and letters, private because they include information
that identifies the victim.
