Putin will do this by toying with Obama's inferiority complex in the face of international powers. Putin will try to convince Obama to remove the missiles in the eastern block nations, and he will try to elbow the US out of the Middle East. According to Bible prophecy, discussed elsewhere in this journal, Putin will win because God does NOT want the USA involved in End Times national strategies. Deal with it. I predict that the Hidden Hand will assign a Henry Kissinger or Zbigniew Brzezinski look alike to Obama to try to control the diplomatic battle, and Hillary will be history. Putin admires lovely young ladies who are feminine and bright, but he has no use for bag ladies who climb into power over men and then try to convince those men that faggotry is noble. VLADIMIR PUTIN and
the Revival of Christianity in Russia
Also, possible religious war with America
to defend Christians in the Middle East.
When God calls Gog and Magog from the north to "be thou a guard" to Israel, as we read in Ezekiel 38-39, is it because Russia is the ONLY nation on earth that is both friendly to Israel and to Jesus Christ? Are these Russians truly born again? I seriously doubt it, but then I have no idea what sort of a revival of the Gospel may be at work in the Russian Orthodox Church in the shadows.
As god looks on at the rather superstitious Christianity of Russia, and at the blasphemy of Obama and the whole social system of America, where does God see the most raw zeal for his Son? You see, dear reader, God does not believe all the propaganda of NBC and CBS about Russia and Putin like you do. God is just. He knows the hearts of men, and if Putin really feels affection for Jesus Christ, God LIKES that. When is the last time you showed your zeal for Christ in the market place like those Russians in the video?
I also contrast Barak Obama's pure hate and mockery of Jesus Christ, along with his eager exaltation of Islam, AND his destruction of order in Egypt where Christians enjoyed some immunity from persecution under Mubarak. I know very well what Syria is all about-- It is a religious war between Putin and Obama. Syria has a significant minority of Christians who are protected by Assad. Obama wants to turn the Islamic Brotherhood loose on those Christians and massacre them for Allah.
This brings me to the destiny of the USA. God MUST destroy the USA. Christendom in the USA is dead. All they care about it their guns and wealth. No one is really all that mad about Obama helping Islam build its empire worldwide. Everything is about the economy, Mammon, the god of the American church.
So, what next? I predict a massive false flag event, and Assad will be blamed. Next, a US attack on Damascus, possibly with nuclear weapons. After that, the US will be seen as the bully of the world in everyone's eyes, and economic war will be declared against the USA. We will be destroyed economically and become a banana republic. Bible believers will make preparation NOW.
Sadly,
whoever is leader of Russia in the Ezekiel 38 event will turn against Israel as
he is going there to rescue them. This may well be the final death of zeal for
the name of Christ before the Great Tribulation.

DOES THE USA
WANT TO DESTROY SYRIA?
The USA is right on track to follow Libya and Egypt to give the Islamic Brotherhood Syria. The stupid sheeple will believe this is good, or at least better than Assad's regime. Well, there is a very good reason the USA wants to give "change and hope" to Syria:
1. Change the tolerant state of affairs which Assad has shown Christians in Syria, and.....
2. Destroy hope of the Christians in Syria and facilitate their massacre.
The USA State Department hates Jesus Christ. The prefer Allah. US leaders blaspheme Christ and hate Christianity that speaks the truth to the exclusion of Islam.

Vladimir Putin, Defender of the Faith?

On June 1, 2012, The New York Times carried a storyby Ellen Barry about the Russian Orthodox Church giving moral support to the Russian policy in the current crisis in Syria. That policy has been marked by persistent vetoes in the Security Council against all attempts to take strong steps against the Syrian regime. This has once again, in the best Cold War tradition, pitted Russia against the United States and its allies. Ever since Vladimir Putin's first presidency, through the Medvedev intermission and Putin's return as visible head of the Russian government, the Russian Church has strongly supported his regime, despite (and perhaps) because of its increasing authoritarianism.
The 1997 law about religion gave a privileged status to Orthodoxy, though stopping short of directly establishing it as the religion of the state. This cozy relationship between Orthodoxy and state has been most relevant in domestic affairs. It is has also been manifest in foreign affairs. That was already evident in the Russian stance favoring Serbia during the wars in Bosnia and Kosovo. Barry's story indicates that it also pertains to Russia's policy in the Middle East.
Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the department of external church relations (and thus a sort of ecclesiastical foreign minister), has put what he calls "Christianiphobia" at the top of his agenda. In a statement describing and denouncing the persecution of Christians in the Middle East, he called on Putin to protect these threatened minorities. And Putin promised to do this. His effective defense of the Assad regime, indirectly in the United Nations and, according to reports, directly by the shipments of arms, is now legitimated in terms of a defense of persecuted Christians. Late last year Patriarch Kirill I of Moscow and all the Russias paid a visit to Damascus. While the visit was officially described as a non-political gesture of solidarity with the Christian minority, Kirill appeared in public with President Assad and praised him for his treatment of Christians. In a religious procession led by Kirill walking beside him were men holding up Assad's portrait. In the most solemn way possible, Kirill stepped into the traditional role of Imperial Russia as defender of the Orthodox in the Middle East. Is history repeating itself? My guess is that the answer is yes and no.
Whatever its political motives and consequences, Kirill's description of the sufferings of Christians in the Middle East, and indeed in other parts of the Muslim world, is factually correct. The Assad government has in fact protected the Christian minority, and Syrian Christians have good reason to fear an overthrow of that government. The rise of anti-Christian militancy following the demise of authoritarian but non-Islamist regimes in Iran and Iraq, and lately in Egypt, very plausibly makes Christians afraid. Christians have recently encountered problems elsewhere (for example, in China and India), but in the great majority of cases at the hands of Muslims. Christians have been brutally persecuted under so-called "blasphemy laws" in Pakistan, Aghanistan and Egypt, and even in semi-democratic Turkey. There has been outright prohibition (Saudi Arabia) and severe restriction (Iran). But there has also been physical violence, usually by enraged mobs, though typically with little interference by the authorities (Indonesia, Pakistan, Iraq, Egypt).
Most of the persecution has been directed against Christian communities long established in the region (such as Copts and other so-called Oriental churches, that is, Eastern churches not in communion with the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, but also the Melkite churches, which are in communion). Both laws and popular hostility against "proselytism" has led to persecution of Evangelical missionaries. There has been for some time now a simmering civil war between Christians and Muslims in northern Nigeria. I am not suggesting that Islam is intrinsically, inevitably anti-Christian. There are important passages in the Koran that prohibit such hostility, and there is a long history of Christians living peacefully in Islamic states (such as during the convivienca under Muslim rule in Spain).
All the same, it is true that, while most Muslims do not persecute Christians, most such persecutions are perpetrated by Muslims within what Samuel Huntington called "the bloody frontiers of Islam". Christians, rightly worried about their future, have been emigrating in large numbers from the Middle East, dramatically from Iraq and Egypt, and even from the Palestinian territories. The mayor of Bethlehem recently warned of the possibility that the birthplace of Jesus may in the not too distant future be a city without Christians. Can one imagine the last one to leave turning off the lights in the Church of the Nativity?
There is considerable irony in Vladimir Putin, the old KGB official, taking on the role of defender of Christianity. Perhaps he could add to the official title of President of Russia the phrase still attached to Queen Elizabeth II, Defender of the Faith. (Yet another irony: That title was given by the Pope to King Henry VIII, in recognition of a tract he wrote in his earlier years as an attack on Martin Luther. I don't know if Rome made a move to retract the title after Henry VIII followed Luther�s heresy at least to the extent of putting himself in the place of the Pope as head of the Church of England. One way of looking at history is as an endless sequence of ironies. But that is another story.)
Putin likes to be photographed in the company of Orthodox priests. He claims to have been secretly baptized during Soviet times and to have had some sort of religious conversion. Is he sincere or just using religion as a political tactic? The same question may be raised about Dmitry Medvedev, who kept the presidential chair warm for Putin and who is reputed to have a chapel in his dacha. However one wants to wants to answer the question, there is a long pre-Soviet history of Imperial Russia intervening in the Middle East, sincerely or not, under the banner of protector of Orthodox Christians. An impressive reminder of this is the Russian Compound in Jerusalem, a collection of buildings across about seventeen acres of prime real estate in the center of the city. Built between 1860 and 1864 by the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society, it included a large church and a hostel for the use of Russian pilgrims to the Holy Land, of which there were many.
The church and one other building are still in use by the Russian Orthodox Church, though some other parts of the complex are now owned by the Israeli government and private firms. For many years in the nineteenth century there was an ongoing conflict between Russia and the Western powers, notably France and the British Empire, over influence in the Middle East. The Ottomans, who then ruled the region, were more afraid of the Russians and consequently looked to the Western powers for protection. While Russia served as the putative protector of Orthodox Christians under Turkish rule, France placed herself as protector of Catholics (especially the Maronites in Lebanon, who used Orthodox rites while acknowledging the authority of the Pope).
The British were at least generally sympathetic to Protestants. (There were very few of those, most of them converts, not from Islam but from Orthodoxy, since it was very dangerous to convert Muslims, Protestant missionaries instead went after their Orthodox fellow-Christians. Conscious of this less than inspiring history of non-heroic evangelism, the Church of England, so as not to annoy the Orthodox any further, set up an episcopal see whose incumbent was called, not Anglican Bishop ofJerusalem, but in Jerusalem. I believe he still is.)
If Russia wants again to play an important role in the Middle East, so does Turkey, confident with its new economic muscle. The foreign policy of the Islamist government in power since 2003 increasingly has a neo-Ottoman flavor, stretching out to influence not only the Middle East but ex-Russian Central Asia, most of whose inhabitants speak languages related to Turkish. Critics of Recep Erdogan were worried that he may aspire to be a new Khomeini. His role model, it now seems, may rather be Suleiman the Magnificent. It would be yet another replication of an old history if Turkey, a sort of Western power by virtue of still being a member of NATO, were now to become a major rival with Russia. The two governments are certainly competing in currying favor with the Arabs while antagonizing the Israelis. Of course, the future direction of the Arab Spring may complicate this game in unforeseeable ways.
Since the failure of the Suez intervention in 1956, the United States has done its best to be the successor of the British Empire in the Middle East. Its recent history makes it difficult to play the role of protector of Christians. Two of its recent wars, the ones in Serbia and Kosovo, were fought to protect Muslims against Christians, and Orthodox Christians at that. I don't think that the US has been getting much credit for this in the Muslim world. And of course its alliance with "Christianiphobic" Saudi Arabia against equally "Christianiphobic" Iran inhibits any possible American inclinations toward "Christianiphilia", though the closeness with Israel may push it in this direction (Evangelicals are not only staunchly pro-Israel, but, along with the Catholic Church, have shown great concern for the plight of Christians in Muslim countries).
Nobody I know has ever read George Santayana. I haven't either. But everyone quotes one line by Santayana: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it". I doubt whether this statement holds as a generalization about historical memory. Maybe, just maybe, it may hold for the Middle East. The past weighs heavily on this part of the world. It may be useful to keep in mind that most collective memories of the past are false. As a Soviet joke, had it: "The only thing that is more uncertain than the future is the past".

STAR IS RISING IN MOSCOW
IT IS NOT THE STAR OF KARL MARX
Americans have the notion that Russia has returned to the Communist era with modern overtones as Vladimir Putin's star rises again. That is far from the fact. The truth is enough to make me tremble with anticipation to see Ezekiel 38 fulfilled in my life time if God permit.
I will give you a series of facts, Bible text, and recent news items. You will have to do some surfing to see the big picture, but NOTHING I HAVE EVER POSTED OUTSHINES THIS MOMENT.
First, the prophetic event that has NOT happened, which even Preterists cannot explain.
Ezekiel 38:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince
of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring
thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with
all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them
handling swords:
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with
shield and helmet:
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the
north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
7 Be thou prepared,
and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee,
and be thou a guard unto them.

the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword,
and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have
been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall
dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou
shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people
with thee.
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at
the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will
go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls,
and having neither bars nor gates,

to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the
people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods,
that dwell in the midst of the land.
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants
of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come
to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away
silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Now, you thought that Vladimir Putin was the heart and soul of the old line Communism, right. He was born on the Orthodox Church holiday to St. Michael. His symbol of his political movement is the bear, which in the bible is the animal associated with God and Magog. He had to run against Communists to win the recent election, and our US Ambassador to Russian tried to help the Communist win by agitating street riots with US assistance. READ THE STORY IN PRAVDA FOR YOURSELF.
Now, when I saw following video I was astounded. I thought I understood Putin pretty good, but this is over the edge. I must say that something has been hidden from us in the USA, and even the right and Alex Jones have totally missed this.
THE DEDICATION OF VLADIMIR PUTIN BY THE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX PATRIARCH.
Did you see how he seemed very comfortable in the church. His behavior is very typical of any Orthodox church in the Middle East or Ethiopia. The audience (Putin and his wife) are not the main event-- the worship is not of the people, it is of the church officials. An American Christian cannot understand this without seeing it as I have. He even chats with his wife and seems charmed by something.
Did you see him kiss the icon, probably Michael the Archangel or Jesus. And, the kiss from the patriarch was the kiss of a faithful follower of the church.

Now, I am not moved as a Bible believer to imagine that Vladimir Putin is a born again Christian. But, I find it very interesting that he is making such a show of being blessed by the church. This is the way of the churches in Russia, Greece, Rome, and Ethiopia long ago. A ruler who is not blessed by the church is a black ruler.
Also, it has become very clear that Putin is NOT a Communist, though he cut his teeth in the KGB long ago.
READ THIS ARTICLE TO LEARN PUTIN'S PRESENT POLICY, and consider this fact-- Vladimir is less of a Communist the Barak Obama who supported Putin's election rival who is a Communist.

So, Israel must soon abandon the USA as a companion and move to the Russian model of nationalism and church approved power of Vladimir Putin. Fred Schwartz, an anti-Communist Christian with Jewish roots, predicted in about 1964 that the USA would become more and more Communist, and Russia would one day be the ally of the USA. Fred was right about the USA, but he was wrong about Russia. Russia is not Communist, though they have Communists trying to get back in power.
A two year old in the USA is $38,000 in debt due to the Socialist Communist policy of giving a free lunch to loafers who will not work, and the policy of printing money without anything to back it. A Russian two year old is now $1200 in debt do to the Russian national debt. This fact alone tells us the Russia will be the center of a mighty power base soon, while the USA fades into third world oblivion or anarchy.
Russia is the bear. The bear is his symbol and the Bible animal used to represent Gog and Magog.
Daniel 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and
saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon
his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the
beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a
bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power,
and his seat, and great authority.
If we collect the prophetic thoughts together, we see that Gog and Magog, Russia, the bear will prevail. We also see that Russia will be the friend of Israel and possibly replace the USA as the USA turns against Israel (right now) and Israel needs a powerful ally. We see in Ezekiel 38 that God tells Russia to "be a guard" to them, that is, Israel. We see that they head for Jerusalem intending to defend Israel-- they get an evil thought after they leave to support Israel. So, we may make a very educated prediction that Russia will soon replace the USA as the defender of Israel.
Does this make sense?
Well, as we used to say when we were kids, "I know something you don't know." The following account will help you see that Israel has had a mutual defense alliance for about seventeen years already.
In about 1995 I had a contact in Russia. He was an American working as a go-between for us companies, the US Federal Government, and Russian business interests. He wrote me several times and then had to bow out for security reasons. He told me that during the war in Bosnia and Kosovo there was a meeting of NATO to which foreign minister Sheron was invited. He went, and after the meeting an ambassador to NATO, I believe he was from Italy, spoke personally to Sheron and asked him why NATO should not come to Israel and show them how to treat the Palestinians the way NATO did in Bosnia.
Sheron panicked and flew straight back to Jerusalem and told this to Netanyahu who was in his first tenure as Israeli Prime Minister. Netanyahu also panicked and flew straight to Moscow overnight-- he did NOT fly to Washington DC. Netanyahu did not tell the press he had gone, and did not tell them where he went until several days later when some Israeli news agency found out. He then admitted he was away to Moscow briefly.
My contact told me what happened in Moscow. The officials in Moscow found out Netanyahu was coming, and when he arrived the red carpet was literally rolled out, and a whole mob of Russian officials schmoozed Netanyahu like an emperor. A representative from China showed up on short notice, probably at the invitation of Russia. After some talks, Russia, China, and Israel signed a mutual defense alliance to continue indefinitely. Ever since this event I have watched to see if this alliance would bear fruit in diplomatic relations, and it certainly has. I believe that on that trip to Russia, Netanyahu started the process in motion that would end in Israel calling for Russia to rescue them and Russia would eventually go south to do so, as we saw in Ezekiel 38.
This sounds far out, right? Well, I am a Bible believer before I am an American, and I see that America must go into decline and fade into submission to other world powers. Russia is clearly around even after the Kingdom Reign of Messiah, as we saw in Revelation 20.
If you do not like this destiny for the USA, go talk to God about it. It is his world and his plan that I believe will be fulfilled, whether you like it or not.
THE BEAR IS STIRRING AND SEEMS TO BE PREPARING FOR ITS ROLE IN BIBLE PROPHECY.
That means the end of this present era of God's program for planet earth is very near. What a great time to be living. I just wish my Dad was here to see this. He would be all over us shouting for joy.
What price will the Bible believer pay during this time? Homeland Security has published a report stating that anyone who believes in "End Times Prophecy" is a "potential terrorist." Why would they print this for public consumption? Answer: You just read why. The Bible clearly leaves the USA our of the End Times prophecy Bible texts. President Barak Obama hates the Bible and the truth it teaches because his doom is spelled out there. He will become a nothing in a nothing nation. So, anyone who is looking beyond the collapse of the USA at the destiny of Israel and the coming of Jesus Christ can only be a terrorist.

This article will show that the urge to conquer the USA was in
Russian thinking in 1999, but things seem to have changed recently as the USA
is destroying itself. Vladimir Putin seems to have abandoned this plan and is
building the Russian empire, using the remains of the American Empire.

What I want you to understand is this: America will collapse before the final stages of the end times. The Middle East must rise, and prosperity will be rampant, as in the days of Noah, just before the rain came down. There will be no world war before the rapture of the Lord's Church, according to the Bible. Life will be good. Y2K could be enough of a crisis to take the USA down, collapse the US dollar, and install Europe in the political driver's seat.
Now, where will that leave Russia? She will be all alone, and the Middle East will be the trade and political center of life with Europe co-ruling world trade etc. Russia will see the state of Israel as a target for food and wealth, and the Arab nations will welcome Russia to attack Israel. This war is described in Ezekiel 38-39. Read it. This event has NOT happened yet, and it now fits very well in the flow of the immediate future.
I believe Russia is tooling up for this last war in which five sixths of her population will be destroyed in the battle. What looks like preparation for attack on the USA will be turned by Satan in the minds of the Russians. They will turn against Israel.

As a GRU officer Lunev's spying related to military matters: gathering information on America's military plans; reporting on U.S. vulnerabilities; devising special operations in the advent of war.
Last year, Lunev detailed just some of his activities in a new book he co-authored with Ira Winkler, "Through the Eyes of the Enemy: Russia's Highest Ranking Military Defector Reveals Why Russia is More Dangerous than Ever" (Regnery, (800) 639-7629).
The book is a light read with some sensational details about Russian plans to bring suitcase nuclear bombs into America and to use special forces to assassinate the president and congressional, military and other leaders during the initial phases of a war.
Lunev claims in "Through the Eyes of the Enemy" that Russian military leaders still view a war with the United States as "inevitable" and that the Cold War never really ended.
Save for some talk radio outlets and the Internet, Lunev's book got little media coverage. This comes as no surprise since most Americans believe the United States won the Cold War. Russia is not a threat and any suggestion that it is has to be written off as just paranoid jingoism.
Lunev is used to unfriendly receptions. When he did defect, higher-ups at the CIA and the Pentagon did not accept what he had to say.
What he said was rather simple. Russia is continuing its old ways. The military is still preparing for war against the United States. A nuclear war.
In the era of fuzzy warm feelings between the United States and Russia, American officials were not going to upset the applecart no matter how much evidence Lunev offered.
In the intervening years, Russia has appeared to further disintegrate. Can she really be a threat? skeptics ask. Lunev most certainly has been proven wrong.
Lunev says think again. He retorts that Russia still retains a formidable military-industrial complex. She is one of the world's largest arms exporters. She makes quality products and delivers them on time.
Russia continues to build nuclear submarines, bombers and missiles. Last year Yeltsin commissioned Peter the Great, the largest ballistic missile cruiser ever built by mankind. This past Christmas, Russia deployed a regiment of 10 Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missiles, missiles reportedly more sophisticated than anything we have. Just last month, Russia unveiled her stealth bomber. The New York Times reports Russia continues to build huge underground bunkers, some as large as cities, in case of war. She also continues to build an arsenal of chemical and biological weapons. Russia's nuclear arsenal remains the world's largest. She continues testing of her nuclear weapons.
Such facts demonstrate that Lunev, who refuses to be photographed for security reasons, is not to be dismissed.

It is the height of folly
to assume that the threat of a restored Russia is null and void when the Bible
indicates she will attack Israel soon, and then after the 1000 year rule of Christ,
Gog and Megog try again with Satan. If you really believe the Bible is absolute
truth, this news item comes as expected and anticipated.

We need to be wise and restrained in our day. Ezekiel 38 makes it very clear that God brings Gog and Magog down to be a guard to Israel. This may last all the way through the Great Tribulation, and Gog may be the only human force restraining the Antichrist from totally massacring all Jews in the whole earth. The final destiny of Russia / Gog is a result of a rebellion more than 1000 years from now.
So, we watch with great interest as a revival is taking place in the Russian Orthodox Church. It is not a revival as we Bible believers would like it, but there are Russian old world Christians who are stepping up and declaring the faith in Christ, and they are calling to godliness to prevail in everyday life. At least this is salt which preserves, and it is a lot more than we can now say for the homeland of the Reformation and the USA.
