MacArthur spews forth blasphemies and lies while exalting his Scottish
family heritage as the power which brought success to Grace Community Church.

 

"John MacArthur claims that he does not lead a denomination, however, his international network of churches, colleges, and seminaries is massive and continues to expand. John MacArthur has described the success of his worldwide ministry as an “explosion of spiritual fruit and harvest” and for this fruitful harvest he gives credit to the four generations of family ministers who preceded him. Most notably, he praises God’s work through his great grandfather, Rev. Thomas Fullerton, who was the pastor of St. James Presbyterian Church in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, for twenty years.

During that period, Rev. Thomas Fraser Fullerton was also Worshipful Master of the Grand Lodge of Prince Edward Island, Grand Master of PEI Grand Lodge and Grand Master, Grand Secretary of the Provincial Grand Lodge and held other high offices in Canadian Freemasonry." SOURCE

In the Slave book promo by MacArthur, John talks about a whole new understanding of the New Testament. This is the language of Freemasonry. It is the Masonic Divine Secret, "Mahabone," and is supported by loads of ancient mysticism. Also, modern Charismatic leaders virtually all have some secret God showed them. This is so common I need not elaborate. When an alleged minister of Christ tells you he just got a secret from God, run like Hell, or you may end up in Hell.

Also, MacArthur tells us that "all English Bibles" were subject to a conspiracy to hide the meaning of the Greek word, DOULOS. This means that for at least 400 years since the King James Bible was published, God allowed no one to get this word right until John MacArthur got the revelation of the true meaning. This is the same sudden secret we got from Joseph Smith and his golden plates, and from Ellen G White of the Seventh Day Adventists.

John's conclusion in the promo is that you have never understood your relationship to Jesus Christ, and you will never learn it unless you buy his book. This sounds like those secret health cures being sold on the ad videos on the Internet. This is the message of a snake oil huckster. "You gotta get it from me or die."

Strong's Word 1401 doúlos (a masculine noun of uncertain derivation) – properly, someone who belongs to another; a bond-slave, without any ownership rights of their own. Ironically, 1401 /doúlos ("bond-slave") is used with the highest dignity in the NT – namely, of believers who willingly live under Christ's authority as His devoted followers.

The fact is, Bible teachers for hundreds of years have been explaining this Greek word DOULOS. I recall my Dad teaching this. Bible believers who have sat under any sort of responsible teacher know that often the word "Servant" in the King James Bible carries the meaning of a slave. According to Samuel Johnson, the word "Servant" was indeed sometimes used in the Jacobian Era of English to mean an owned servant, and thus, ultimately a slave.

What is simply another case of the need to explain the meaning of a KJV word is used by MacArthur to claim there has been a great conspiracy to elevate our standing in Christ from slave to house boy or valet. MacArthur knew this long ago, so his claim to have just figured this out is hyperbole at its worst. He would have figured this out back at Talbot Seminary if he was awake in class.

CONCLUSION

John MacArthur, in the above video, talks about the spiritual fruit of Grace Community Church being the culmination of four generations of pastors, that is, his ancestors who were all pastors. This is a wretched lie. Grace Community Church of the Valley was founded under the pastorate of Rev. Don Householder, whom I knew and heard preach. My parents were supported missionaries of that original congregation.

John MacArthur makes a legend of his pastoring ancestors and credits them with a mystical line of influence which brought the present church to have spiritual fruit. John knows better because the history of Grace Community Church is on their web page. SEE THIS HERE

Furthermore, the Bible totally contradicts John MacArthur:

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Ephesians 1:15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Ephesians 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

The MacArthurs, with their fine Masonic pedigree from Scotland, are not mentioned once in the New Testament as the force which caused fruit in any church in the last 2000 years.

What we have is another guru with his ashram. The masses gather regularly and listen to this man exalt the building they meet in as The Church, and he exalts his family heritage as the driving force which explains all the spiritual fruit he claims to have produced. This is rank blasphemy.

Daniel 4:29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon.
30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?
