In saying the Nephilim teaching is heresy, I must add that the fact that you may have picked up on this teaching does not mean YOU are a heretic. But, those who teach it are heretics.
The discussion of the Nephilim and Sons of God discussion by prophecy "experts" has been haunting me. I know what I believe on the issue, but it is enormous to deal with it all in a good teaching manner.
So, I found Kevin Zacher's Four Part study on the Nephilim, and it is exceptional and based in the King James Bible. This is a classic case where other versions of the English Bible have caused chaos. The King James Bible, being the preserved Word of God in English, must be used in this study. Otherwise, the confusion keeps coming and coming.

These are the End Times, and we are very close to the Rapture of the Bride of Christ into his presence, which will be followed by Great Tribulation and trouble for Israel and the whole world. So, what will the greatest hazards be for Bible believers just ahead?
1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
These doctrines will be taught in the Lord's Church by demented and devil possessed men who prey on the fear of the saints as they consider the consequences of the last days of the Church just before the Rapture of the Church. While many men preach doctrines of deliverance and peace in Christ, some of these men creep into the Church and play on the fear factor.
Thus, when you hear about UFOs, aliens from space, Nibiru, Planet X, and Nephilim returning, you need to know that all teaching which ends in fear is heresy.
2 Thessalonians 2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
If there is no "Good Hope" in a teaching, that is, if it does not lead to an end in Christ and victory, it is highly suspect.
