Introduction: One morning recently I was meditating, and an idea came to me that helped me understand where the United States is headed. This parable will not be popular with those who believe God is obligated to save America, regardless of how profane and wicked America becomes. And, you will hate me for this because you believe the USA has a manifest destiny to dominate the world. But, some of my readers will relate to this. A PARABLE OF THE BANANA REPUBLIC

Once upon a time there was an Asian who managed to find a town with only one person in it, and that one person was infinitely rich. The Asian moved to this town. The Asian started making all the stuff the one rich man needed, and that rich man bought all the Asian’s merchandise, and they both thrived.
They might have lived happily ever after if the rich man had not been greedy.
[ This story is based on the fact that there are 20 people in the rest of the world for every individual American. Thanks to reader NG for helping me get the math correct. ]
But, the rich man ran low on cash because he started spending more than he had earned so that he could be admired and feared by the city of poor peasants nearby. He also made weapons and occasionally attacked the neighboring city. He wanted to make sure that the poor people living in the city near him could not pass him up in wealth and power. These wars wasted the rich man's wealth, and he ran out of money.
So,
the rich man went to the Asian merchant and got a loan. Life went on just fine
for a while. Later, another loan was needed, and another, and another. He called
it Queer Easing hoping the Asian merchant would not catch on to the trick. With
the loan from the Asian, the rich man printed more of his own currency which was
named the Dhaler because it was the most famous currency in the world.
The rich man then bought more toys and trinkets and luxuries from the Asian than ever. The Asian seemed to become more rich also.
But, eventually the Asian held so many notes for loans to the rich man that the Asian got nervous. He went to the rich man and asked him to pay some of the loans off. The Asian thought this would perhaps slow down the folly of the rich man.
The rich man asked for mercy, which he received.... for a while. He even received another small loan from the Asian merchant, which he used as Queer Easing to print more Dahliers, from which he paid for yet another war on the little city nearby.
But alas, the rich man did not have enough in his treasure house to pay his bills and interest on the loans from the Asian merchant. What did the rich man do next? He killed half his babies before they were born. That did not help, so the rich man started another war with the neighboring city.
The Asian merchant became depressed with the folly of the rich man, and he started looking around.
He
found that there was a little city nearby which had 20 beggars and poor people
in it. But, the poor people were also slowly making financial progress. The city,
whenever it was not being attacked by the rich man, had prospered and the peasants
were living quietly and conservatively. They had a rule in that city that if you
did not have it, you were not permitted to spend it, and if you did not work,
you could not eat.
The Asian tested his merchandise in the marketplace in the nearby city, and he found that they could buy quite a few of his products. Also, they were so poor they did not ask for a loan.... they paid for everything they bought up front. They saved all the Dahlers they could find from anyone dealing with the rich man, and the Asian ended up being paid in Dahlers which had higher value than the poor city's currency, the Farthing.
So, the Asian decided to pull in his belt a bit and confront his one rich customer in his town. He went to the rich man and demanded he pay up on all his loans. The Asian merchant was not surprised that the rich man could not pay up, so the Asian sold the loans to the peasants in the nearby city at a vastly discounted price. This gave the peasants in that poor city lots of Dahlers, and trade between the Asian and the poor people soon thrived.
The rich man then had nowhere to go to borrow money, so he declared bankruptcy. The Dahler crashed in value.
The Farthing ended up being of more value than the Dahler, so the poor little city and the Asian merchant agreed to trade in Farthings and leave the Dahler behind. They found four other cities who were even poorer, but they formed a trade ring and called it BRICKS, "Be Ready In Case the Kook Sinks." The only thing the rich man could afford to buy from the Asian then were rice and fish, and he bought beans and trinkets from the beggars and poor people in the little city.
The Asian then started exporting all his merchandise to the 20 people in the BRICKS treade ring, and, do you know what happened? Why, those poor people were collectively able to make the Asian even more rich than before. Was he ever surprised. Later, more little cities from around the world came to the Asian and started trading with him. He became the most powerful merchant in the world.
What happened to the rich man?
He had to go back to growing his own food and fending for himself. Furthermore, the peasants hated the rich man for attacking them over and over, and they raised the price of their goods for him and sold cheap to the Asian.
The Asian merchant would sometimes invite the rich man to his business to sit in on visits with poor people from the nearby city. This made the rich man feel important, though no one paid any attention to him.
The rich man often begged the Asian, "Please, honorable Sahib, lower the value of your currency, the Yougone." To which the Asian answered, "Amelikan man clazy."
The rich man also became very thankful when the Asian merchant agreed to sell the rich man his inferior and defective products at a discount. The wormy candy and the rocks in the rice were not really so bad. The Asian merchant even sent the rich man gifts to feed his children. After all, the rich man once fed the “starving children in China” long ago. A favor's a favor, right?
The rich man did not starve to death, he simply became a beggar and very poor, just like all those other people out there.
This rich man's city is now known as The Banana Republic of Amelika in honor of the Asian merchant.

5:1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon
you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.

gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you,

Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long
patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Be ye also
patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
This text seems to explode with meaning as I watch the whole “developed” world commit financial suicide and massacre the weak for oil and power. Something will happen to gold and silver one of these days that will startle us all. Wealth will be shifted all over the place, and the world, even the most elite, will cry for a Messiah.
AND, will they ever get one!!
He will not be the Messiah of the Bible, Jesus Christ. He will be Antichrist, and he will make them twice the child of hell that than any of our present mob. It is so prophetic, and in reality, it is pretty exciting to live in this time. Frightening, yes, but also prophetic. I feel like soon I may be able to say, “I told you so” to some very wicked people inside and outside of Christendom.

If you did not believe God has the final verdict, and that he promises to never leave his children to the wolves, what would you do?
Please consider your friends who have never confessed faith in Jesus Christ. They may still be finding hope in the smooth words of political leaders or optimistic gurus of finance. But, one day, when the bottom falls out, your unsaved friend will panic. That friend may well take his life out of sheer desperation. What will you do about it NOW in order to save your friend?
Also, get yourself employed at once, plant a garden, stock up on staples, and.....
Be willing to take a low wage. Holding out for what you imagine you are worth is deadly. Get out of debt. Get one car paid off. If you have a huge mortgage, rent your home and go rent another small home. If you default on your mortgage, you may still be able to pay the rent in the small home. If you are living in a home with a mortgage, after a financial collapse, you will be put out on the street if your cash flow tanks.
Stay away from rebellion. Rebels will be rounded up and put away, often in places where they will die of disease or macabre science.
Be prepared to send your sons and daughters out of the USA. You who claim to be Bible believers, most of you dear souls never study or hear about Church history. Most pastors today think all of church history happened when the Southern Baptist Convention was formed. Study the Anabaptists, the Puritans, and the Waldenseans. Study the Inquisition. Read about the Donatists. All of these eras resulted in Christians leaving their homelands and moving over the horizon. If this would save your family from being destroyed by wicked powers, would you do it.Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (left) said that in the early days of Stalinism, when the soldiers and police were given lists of people to arrest, nearly every victim did nothing to prepare to escepe. Why? They knew they were innocent of evil.
Your confidence in your own innocence is absolutely meaningless when tyrants take control. All of the tyrants of history, regardless of ideology, have eliminated masses of innocent people just after they took power. The last tango of the US Government will very likely be a big war. All past empires went out trying to terrify the skeptical world by launching war which they hoped would conceal their internal chaos and political and social collapse. They will wrongly assume that they can play the Franklin D. Roosevelt game as in WW II. It will not work this time.
There is, as I write, a creeping seduction in the American leadership that Franklin Delano Roosevelt rescued America from the Great Depression by joining in World War II. FDR did not have a run away national debt, and he had a trade surplus instead of almost no exports, as we have now. Thousands of young men will be drafted and sent away to die in Sudanese swamps or Asian jungles or in the rocks of the Middle East. This will reduce unemployment. Dead soldiers never work again, and they never collect unemployment payments. Your son will be dead for what?
Stop waving the US flag, and pick up the King James Bible and stick with it.
Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
The coming days will become less and less political and more and more Fascist. Stay out of sight. Mind your own business. Make provision silently, and tell no one what you are thinking. Do not discuss your preparations with anyone. Your most dear friends could one day become so starved and desperate that they will be out marauding for food, and they will recall what you told them about your stash.
Do not hit the street and chant red, white, and blue slogans. The street people will be having a race war and a sit-in demanding a free lunch. The coming regime will NOT be the benign type that Mahatma Gandhi used in British India when he hit the streets and agitated for independence. The street scenes of the near future could be beyond Adolph Hitler in treachery. This is now being agitated from the top down. Antifa, Black Lives Matte, the Militia, and Blackwater show us the slaughter is on their minds.
Above all else, save some:
1 Corinthians 9:22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
You are not called to save America. It is doomed. The prophetic end game of the Age of Grace is to be centered on Jerusalem, not Omaha, Nebraska.
This is the first time I have said this. I guess I am losing my patientce. Here it is:
I am 70 years old.
I have heard hundreds of personal stories, from my parents' generation, about the stock market crash of '29 and the Great Depression. I read books about that past era of pain, and not the ones you read. I read biographies and stories of real people who tell a story in passing. I know the look, taste, and smell of social and economic disaster.
I have lived through a Marxist coup in Ethiopia in the 1970s, and I have been on the hit list of the Mau Mau uprising in Kenya in the 1950s. I have lived near the earth most of my life. I can see how utterly helpless Americans will be in a crisis. They are expert button pushers and have virtually no instinct to prepare for bad times. Let me tell you why I know you are dull and dead mentally as to national disaster eras-- you who know I have lived through such a time twice in my life NEVER ask me about it. You do not give a flip about history. Well, you will then relive it yourself and have no idea what the harbingers are and how to survive.
I have more experience in the struggles of basic survival than nearly everyone I talk to. I have talked and talked on this journal about what I have learned. Oh, yes, I still have much to learn, but not nearly as much as YOU.
I get NO response. No one seems to be moved by my editorial. And it is not like I don't get the traffic.
And, I am talking to Bible believing Christians. The unconverted may well be expected to be mindless self-serving slaves of technology and the mongrel culture today, but God's children ought to have other instincts gleaned from the Bible and the experiences of old saints living near them.
I fully intend to tuck it in, suck up my gut, and stop wasting my voice on the world at large. They are all, it seems, suffering under the "Strong Delusion" sent by God in the End Times. Why should I struggle against THAT? If God wants you destroyed, I sure cannot and must not step in the way of the bus.
So,
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
To you who are willing to prepare for the "winter" of America, I have given you here plenty of clues to help you in your preparation. I have warned you elsewhere in this journal to stop basing your actions on conspiracies that never happen. SEE HERE and, IT DID NOT COME TO PASS. So, preparing for a Bible believer has everything to do with providing for your own family, and including your Christian brothers and sisters. Nothing else matters. Saving America is a waste of time. Defending the US Constitution is a mongrel cause.
1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
