Verse to live by

Psalms 27:4 (KJV) One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

The wrong use of this verse is to transfer the "house of the LORD" of the Old Testament to apply to the brick and mortar buildings of the Church Age where the saints meet. Church houses mean nothing- NOTHING. The point of the verse above is that you, and I, and the rest of the Body of Christ are to have a craving and desire to see the beauty of the LORD all day long every day. Being together in assembly of ourselves is one way to seek after the beauty of the LORD.

"Let's go to church" is the dumbest thing to say- We ARE the Church. You are the Church, and I am the Church. We have let the stupid cravings of mongrel preachers, for power and numbers, rob us of the joy of being the Church seven days a week with our LORD as the only object of our gathering. If only two or three of us stop to have coffee and open the Word of God, we are "having church," and our LORD promises to be in the midst. Any preacher who degrades the precious moment of that joy is a blasphemer and an hireling.

Now, go find a friend, take your KJV, and sit down on the front porch is
